2FA and MFA are commonly mistaken for each other (they’re similar.. but not the same) Two factor authentication: - Typically a password + phone code - Requires exactly two ways to verify you - Most common security you use every day Multi-factor authentication: - Combines biometrics, tokens, and passwords - Blocks over 99% of malicious login attempts - Must use 3+ authentication factors The thing is... 🔄 Step by step directions on how to setup 2 Factor Authentication on Instagram and what to do if your account gets hacked 🥸 If you do get hacked and someone changes your login email: 1) Look for an e-mail from [email protected]. Insta sends out two emails when a profile e-mail gets changed. One to the new e-mail and one to the old e-mail.
