Not a repost, this is from a different solar telescope that i had up and running from nov 28th. The capture was a full disk and it caught a few nice proms including the series of M Class and C Class solar flares. This was done using the @skywatcherusa HelioStar 76. I pushed the contrast to make the proms more visible than usual in this particular case as those were the most interesting features.

Full solar disk in the hydrogen-alpha wavelength with my great Acuter Elite Phoenix 40mm solar telescope! Solar animation covering 42 minutes of real time. Not much happening apart from some proms movement, but at least I tested my improved workflow including field derotation and home-made script for image brightness normalization (it was a day with high clouds so the image brightness changed a lot with time). 🔭 Acuter Elite Phoenix 40mm solar telescope 🔎 Neewer 2x Barlow lens 📷 Player one Apollo-M Max camera 🦾 Skywatcher AZ-GTi mount 🖥️ Autostakkert Imppg Photoshop TiltingSun 🗓️ 27th of January 2026

Spectacular Solar Flare & Coronal Rain! Captured Through My Telescope #astronomy #space #colorized Witness one of the most dramatic solar events I've ever captured! On September 6, 2025, I recorded a massive prominence eruption on the east limb of the Sun near active regions AR 4197, 4201, and 4202. The eruption reached more than 10 Earth diameters high before most of the plasma rained back to the surface. What made this event special is what happened afterward. A huge, incredibly bright hot spot (Dark in the video, but naturally white) stayed anchored to the limb for several minutes, so bright it even saturated my camera. The plasma seemed to dance and swirl before finally fading away. This kind of event is often associated with solar flares and magnetic reconnection, where energy is explosively released from the Sun’s magnetic field. The sound is made out of audio clips from NASA's Parker Probe that recorded parts of the solar wind. #solarsystem #sunobservation Please follow my page @nasa_void for more!

Caught this stunning sun photo showing solar prominence. It's a massive, luminous, loop-shaped structure of dense, cool plasma rooted in the Sun's surface and stretching thousands of kilometers into the solar corona. Magnetic fields shape these formations, which can last for months. #astronomy #astrophotography #seestars50 #sun @seestar.official

Extreme Sun Close up! Captured Through @dudelovesspace Telescope 🔔Follow: @inspiredstarlab for more! Behold the incredible size of our Sun! In this short, we begin with a full-disk view of the Sun’s, captured through my short focal length solar telescope, then zoom to extreme details captured with my main long focal length Solar telescope. Both telescopes were filming the same active region — giving you a true sense of just how massive and dynamic the Sun really is. This time-lapse showcases real solar activity in stunning detail, revealing solar flares, plasma filaments, and chromospheric structures through the Daystar Quark Chromosphere filter. Two interesting prominences on the Sun today. Active loop prominence at top with a small surge prominence on its right. On the bottom, a tenuous quiescent curtain prom. On limb, spicules bristle vertically and on the surface of the disk, fibrils wave horizontally. I took this image yesterday from just south of Flagstaff AZ. #solarimaging #sun #space #telescope
