This is @cp_and_me_blakes_adventure playing with his adapted Spider-Man for the first time on Christmas morning. When his mom reached out asking if this toy could be made switch-accessible, the answer was an easy yes. This video shows both a moment of accessible joy, and the work behind it, because access to play shouldn’t depend on luck, timing, or knowing the “right” person. We adapt toys. We teach others how to do it. And we believe play should be accessible to everyone. Follow for part two, when we adapt Spidey’s dart gun watch. 🎯 #AccessiblePlay #AdaptiveToys #SwitchAccess #InclusiveDesign #DisabilityAccess #AdaptAbilities

watch my quadriplegic cerebral palsy toddler navigate an arcade using his feet 🥹🖤 This is nothing short of miraculous. Quadriplegic cerebral palsy affects all four limbs, and many kids face major mobility challenges with a high risk of falls and limited independent movement. To see my toddler weight shift, stay upright, and move through a busy arcade using his feet shows what early intervention, repetition, and belief can do. Statistics may say the odds are stacked, but progress like this proves that the body and brain are capable of far more than expected when given time, support, and opportunity. #CerebralPalsy #SpecialNeedsParent #EarlyIntervention #DisabilityAwareness #MiracleMom

If you don’t have a special needs child you wouldn’t understand what I’m about to say. I’ve put my whole life on hold to give him the best opportunity to grow.. we’ve missed parties , we’ve left parties after showing up for 5 mins, lost countless hours of sleep, walked out of restaurants without even touching the food we ordered, been told we need to handle our child better. Constantly being judged everywhere we go. I don’t care what anyone says I may cry daily because of the way he is, but I also cry with joy because it’s been a long journey and I’m so proud of him 💙

If you ever in your entire life needed a lesson as to why inclusivity is important Please look at the smile on this young man face

Let your kids ask disabled kids questions. The dad who helped his daughter understand my daughter’s equipment? He got it. Questions aren’t rude. Silence is. Here’s what happens when curiosity gets answered: Questions go from “why the wheelchair?” to “what colors do you like?” to “what silly sounds make you laugh?” Twenty minutes on a trampoline. Two kids. Having fun.

If you’ve ever seen her around anything that spins… you already know. 😂 But this time she wasn’t waiting, watching, or needing someone to help her make it work. This playground was actually designed for her, and so many other people like her 👩🦽➡️ I love these moments more than anything ❤️ Watching her be so independent, so confident, and so full of joy reminds me just how much she’s capable of when the environment finally meets her where she is. Accessible spaces aren’t just good for kids with disabilities — they’re good for every child. They teach kids early that inclusion is normal, that everybody moves differently, and that play should be something every kid gets to experience fully. And for parents? It’s a reminder to see what our kids can do instead of what they can’t. Places like this let her strengths shine so brightly ☀️

Share this with a friend…. Here is where I got each item: - 2 doorway swings: I got them on Amazon from dream gym (I have an Amazon store front if you tap the link in my bio) - Car seat and stroller we got from NuMotion. I called and let them know I was interested in getting a car seat and wheelchair stroller for my disabled child. They gave me next steps to work with their doctors. (Important I did NOT work with Maison’s doctors on this. We used their PT which was a local hospital) don’t use your doctors ask them for recommendations. - Pull ups, wipes, and bed covers by Aeroflow urology (my fav) which comes every month. (Link in bio) - Liquid Tiles (Amazon link in bio) - Trampoline (Amazon link in bio) - Disability Placard ( We got from our tax assessor. Some states it’s the DMV you have to google your state. Requires pediatrician sign off) - Balls (Walmart, Amazon, and Buc-ee’s) - Straws (anywhere lol) - AAC device we got from a non profit for free! There are organizations like ASF, Lilly’s voice, Global AAC, Adlers Voice, Team Easton Foundation. Quick Talker Freestyle by ablenet

New AFOs. Same unstoppable boy. People see straps and braces. I see strength, therapy hours, tears, determination—and a little boy standing taller in his world. Cerebral palsy doesn’t define him. But it sure isn’t stopping him either. Standing looks different for him—but this? This is HUGE. And we’re celebrating every inch of progress. 💙 Drop a 💪 if you’re cheering him on today. #CerebralPalsyAwareness #SpasticQuadriplegia #SpecialNeedsMom #CPJourney #AdaptiveKids #DisabilityAdvocacy #DifferentNotLess #MedicalMama #ReelsMoments #ReelsViral #ViralReels #FacebookReels #ReelsViews #ReelsLife #DailyMoments #Heartwarming
