Alright so this is my first day in After Effects… nothing crazy, just casually mastered motion graphics in a few hours 😌 Made this Adobe After Effects edit with some glitch effects, text animation and a bit of chaos. This is how you can achieve this grungy threshold effect in After Effects! First, add a new Adjustment Layer and rename it as “Threshold”. Go to Effects & Presets and search for Add Grain, drag it on the Threshold layer and I set up the settings like this: Intensity - 4100, Size - 0.300, Softness - 2.000, Aspect Ratio - 1.700. Go to Effects & Presets and search for CC Threshold and drag it under the Add Grain effect. Decrease the threshold until you get the right sweetspot for your likings that matches your video’s contrast. Go to Effects & Presets and search for Fast Box Blur, drag it under CC Threshold. Add 0,1 or 0,2 blurriness to make the sharp grain a bit softer. Search for Tritone on the Effects & Presets, drag it under Fast Box Blur and change up the 3 main colors with any colors you like. Not but least add Posterize Time and decrease it to 10 to make the effect look more weared out. #aftereffects #motiongraphics #effects #motiondesign #motiondesigner #aftereffectsedit
