Yesterday when she showed up for the dive she came right to me, and I decided to rub her ampuli of Lorenzini a bit to calm her and “just go for it” with the hook that was deeply embedded in her mouth. Happy White Shark Wednesday 🦈 CSULB Shark Lab’s Dr. James Anderson detailed juvenile white sharks and their water usage back in 2021! We discovered that juvenile white sharks spend their time near the shore 🌊 Tagged young-of-the-year (YOY) white sharks gathered in groups at certain “hotspot” locations that varied each year. These sharks returned to the same areas over time, stayed there longer, and moved around less, with many YOY sharks showing this behavior simultaneously.
