I wanted to make this video to highlight my brother and his non-traditional route. He’s currently a resident right now, but it took him quite a journey to get there. He’s mentioned in our cookbook, UMMA, but his specific path of figuring out his career especially as the guinea pea of the family is something I wanted to share here because I know others are in this situation too. I wanted this to serve as a reminder that there isn’t just one path— and not all big decisions are planned from the get go and sometimes limited resources can make it feel impossible and daunting.
