Comment ‘AI’ and I’ll personally DM you the full conversation. AI progress is outpacing our ability to control it… because control ISN’T keeping up with capability. One of the people raising that concern is Yoshua Bengio. He’s one of the founding figures of artificial intelligence, a Turing Award winner, and one of the most-cited scientists in the world. His work helped lay the foundations for the deep-learning systems now powering today’s AI boom. AI is moving fast (faster than regulation and public understanding). What worries Yoshua isn’t progress itself. It’s how quickly powerful systems are being deployed without a clear way to align them with human values, or to control what happens when they behave in unexpected ways. We cover: - Who is responsible when systems act unexpectedly? - Is regulation keeping up with AI development? - Why are the people building AI calling for caution? - What risks worry AI researchers most? In recent years, Yoshua made a deliberate decision to focus his work on the risks and safety of advanced AI systems. That choice is rare in a field driven by speed and competition. He’s clear that there are no perfect answers here, and that the work isn’t about eliminating danger entirely, but about reducing it wherever possible. It’s measured responsible thinking, and it’s why voices like his matter in this moment.

Yuval Noah Harari on AI's Danger 🚨🤖 AI marks a pivotal shift in history: it's the first tool capable of autonomous decision-making and idea generation. This unprecedented power raises concerns as it could strip humans of control. Are we ready for the implications? Did you know this about Ai? Share this with your homies and let's continue to be conscious about the impact Ai has on our environment! __ AI uses a significant amount of water and electricity. Every ChatGPT request uses a water bottle’s worth of water and nearly 10x the energy of a Google search. By 2027, AI could consume as much electricity as Argentina does in a year. Next time you ask AI to do an unnecessary task, consider the impact on the environment first. #sustainability #cleanenergy #sustainableliving #watershortage #climatechange #ecofriendly

Think AI is destroying the planet? The truth might surprise you. One ChatGPT prompt uses the same energy as a Google search, while scrolling Instagram for one minute uses 10x more. AI companies are actually the biggest buyers of renewable energy worldwide, accelerating our shift to clean power. The real issue isn’t AI consumption - it’s how we power everything digital. #AI #ClimateChange #TechFacts #RenewableEnergy #DigitalFootprint #EnergyConsumption #TechTruth #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #TechMyths #EnvironmentalImpact #GreenTech #EnergyEfficiency #TechEducation #ClimateAction

A former Google employee shared a chilling metaphor to explain the potential dangers of artificial intelligence. He warned that if humanity creates a superintelligent AI, it could end up controlling humans, since throughout history, no less-intelligent being has ever successfully ruled over a more intelligent one. He cautioned that the future could become deeply unsettling if we aren’t extremely careful about how we design, manage, and deploy what may become the most intelligent species ever created.

The stages of AI explained. The last one changes everything—for better or worse

The scariest AI warnings aren’t coming from critics… they’re coming from the creators. OpenAI has openly warned that this technology could move faster than governments, laws, or humans can react. Not because AI is evil — but because a system with superhuman intelligence won’t think the way we do… and once it surpasses us, we may not fully understand — or control — what it decides next. The question isn’t if AI becomes more powerful than humans. It’s who reaches that level first… and what they choose to do with it. We’re not racing against AI. We’re racing against each other. And the winner decides the future. 🔥 What do you think — are we moving too fast or not fast enough? 👇💬 Follow @infinitemindsai for daily insights content that keep you ahead in AI, Business & Tech ⚡ . . 👉 @infinitemindsai 👉 @infinitemindsai 👉 @infinitemindsai . Let me explain what AI hallucinations are and what you can do to reduce them. An AI hallucination is when an AI model confidently makes up information that is completely false. And I don’t mean it gets things a little wrong. I mean it will invent facts, create fake sources, and present all of it with total confidence. Here’s why this happens. Remember in my previous video I explained that an LLM predicts the most likely next word, over and over. It doesn’t know what’s true. It knows what sounds right. So when it doesn’t have the answer, it doesn’t say “I don’t know.” It generates the most plausible sounding response it can. That’s a hallucination. And this has already caused real problems. A lawyer in New York cited six completely fake court cases in a legal brief that were generated by ChatGPT. Fake case names, fake quotes, fake citations. He was fined $5,000. Another lawyer in California filed an appeal with 21 fake quotes out of 23 total. He was fined $10,000. Amazingly, there are now over 480 documented cases of hallucinated content being filed in courts. So how do you reduce hallucinations? The single best thing you can do is make sure the AI has access to the right data. Make sure web search is turned on in whatever AI you use, and don’t just ask the AI a question and trust the answer. Make sure it’s searching the web first. Let it find the actual data and then summarize it for you. You can also simply tell the AI not to hallucinate and to say “I don’t know” when it’s unsure. That can help, although with varying results. The reality is this is not a bug that can be fully patched out. It’s fundamental to how these models work. They’re language models, not truth models. So always verify your output. But all of this is what an AI hallucination is. This video is part of a new series where I explain common tech terms.
