What does it take to produce a single pearl? Years and years of patience and dedication! The greatest myth that was busted wide open for me was the argument that cultured pearls are the same as lab diamonds. What a load of nonsense - cultured pearls are grown in the ocean, overs years and years, and every part of the growth cycle is cared for manually, no machines involved! My trip to Japan with @pearlassociation was the trip of a lifetime - as I learned all about Akoya pearls, from start to finish!
