Last night, the Mequon Police Department received a report of suspicious activity after a resident’s trail (deer) camera captured three individuals wearing face masks walking through a wooded area on the northwest side of Mequon. The footage was shared by a local hunter who after receiving the video, promptly alerted police. While these burglaries are not occurring in one specific area, the individuals seen on camera are believed to be connected to the recent incidents where suspects have been entering neighborhoods through wooded areas. Officers responded and conducted a track through the woods, but the individuals were not located. We ask residents to remain vigilant — lock your doors, secure vehicles, and promptly report any suspicious activity or persons to the Mequon Police Department. (Video footage attached)

Police are searching for three suspects involved in an attempted burglary that turned into a homicide in Decatur over the weekend. The incident happened on Saturday, September 20, around 10:36 PM on Citation Dr. 36 y/o Ana Scott was reportedly alerted by her doorbell camera to several people trying to break into her home. Moments later, Ana drove her Jeep through her front yard to confront them, the suspects panic, and one opens fire on her vehicle. She was transported to the hospital, where she tragically passed away. Deepest condolences to Ana’s loved ones during this extremely difficult time. 💔🕊️

A couple wanted out of Livonia for multiple felony crimes was arrested outside a Dearborn Walmart after being tracked by police surveillance. The suspects had fled from Livonia police earlier. Dearborn officers were alerted the pair may be in the city and began monitoring for their whereabouts. Officers later spotted the couple shopping for groceries at Walmart. As they exited the store, Dearborn officers moved in and arrested them in the parking lot without incident. Both suspects are now in custody and are expected to be handed over to Livonia authorities to face charges.
