The savings category is specifically to practice delayed gratification. If they don’t have enough money for an item, they can save up for it and then purchase it as soon as they save up the money. However, in my daughters case.. she HAD the money in savings to purchase this right away. Enter the 7-day rule because, delayed gratification. 😉 It is specific to when they have the money readily available for a large purchase, such as this example.
