Massive breakthrough…Scientists are using living brain cells to build computers that are ALIVE! This is a brand new industry of technology called biocomputing. These are real human neurons that can actually think and learn for themselves. When scientists combine them with silicon chips they bring the computer to life. Now if you’re like me, you’re probably wondering one thing… Why are scientists doing this? It feels a bit much to be growing human brains just to put them inside of computers. Well listen to this…it turns out, human brain cells have extremely rare abilities to process things without being trained. Normal computers need to be taught how to solve certain problems. It’s why AI models take so much energy and training data to build. But as soon as you add brain cells to a computer chip, they don’t really need as much training. They kinda start figuring out what to do on their own, just like a human would. Now because of this, these biocomputers are super efficient. A regular supercomputer might use 40M watts of power to solve a complex task. The human brain can do it in just 20. That’s 2M times more efficient. And this means these biocomputers could become the secret weapon to solving humanity’s hardest computational challenges. But…there is just one massive problem… Brain cells tend to die when their temperature deviates from 98.6 degrees. And computers generate a ton of heat. So we have this wild situation where living computers might be the solve for everything, but it’s almost impossible to keep the brain part alive. Today, companies like Cortical Labs are selling these biocomputers for $35,000. But over time, scientists are gonna figure out how to get them stable & more accessible. It’s wild to say but I think soon we’re gonna have living computers that literally think like humans. Mind-reading AI turns paralysed man's brainwaves into instant speech 🗣️ A man who lost the ability to speak can now hold real-time conversations and even sing through a brain-controlled synthetic voice. The brain-computer interface reads the man’s neural activity via electrodes implanted in his brain and then instantaneously generates speech sounds that reflect his intended pitch, intonation and emphasis. In a major breakthrough for brain computer technology, Rob Greiner, the sixth person to receive Neuralink’s “Telepathy” chip, is already playing video games and controlling a computer with his thoughts. Just days after his June 14 surgery, the Idaho quadriplegic shared videos showing himself navigating games using only neural signals—no hands, no devices, just his mind. What if you could control technology... just by thinking? Meet the Brain-Computer Interface: where your mind meets AI. No screens. No clicks. Just pure thought to action. Welcome to the future of interaction. #BCI #NeuroTech #AI #futuretechnology #health

This breakthrough brain implant and digital avatar allowed Ann, who survived a stroke, to speak again with facial expressions for the first time in 18 years. Researchers at UC San Francisco implanted a device that reads signals directly from her brain. Those signals are decoded in real time and converted into text, synthetic speech, and facial movements on a digital avatar that mirrors how she would naturally talk. Instead of typing or selecting words, Ann thinks about what she wants to say. The system translates those thoughts into full sentences, complete with expressions like smiling or raising eyebrows. It is one of the first times a brain computer interface has restored both voice and emotional expression together. This work shows how close we are to giving people with severe paralysis a natural way to communicate again, using AI models trained to map brain activity to language and movement. AI enabled a paralyzed woman to “speak” for the first time in 18 years by using a digital replica of her recorded voice. 🗣️ Ann, who hasn’t been able to speak for nearly two decades, is now able to communicate thanks to advanced brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. This technology, developed by researchers including Dr. Edward Chang at UC San Francisco, translates Ann’s brain signals into text, speech, and facial expressions for a digital avatar. This breakthrough could greatly improve communication for people with paralysis and represents a significant advancement in AI. 🎥 via Chang Lab #ai #artificialintelligence #aitools #aihacks #chatgpt #tech #technology
