Less than three months after his silver medal at the World Championships in Tokyo, he comes back to the marathon and delivers another world class performance on one of the fastest courses on the planet.  He started conservatively, stayed in the chase pack for the first half, and only after around 25 km launched a long surge, moving through the field until only John Korir was left ahead of him.
