Dungarvan is the gift that keeps on giving, honestly. I've heard so much about the now legendary @andchips_ and we had our first visit yesterday and holy moly it's great. We sat in the Sun eating excellent fish and chips and drinking wine on the quay. Belter! Like a lot of spots in Dungarvan, what makes And Chips brilliant is the fact that some of the best fish in the country is from literally outside the door. The fish tacos were super fresh with a great Pico de Gallo and great fish, the spice box was a belter (would have liked a curry sauce with it but it was excellent) but the out and out winner was the Scampi. For transparency - this visit was part of a press visit to @waterfordfestivaloffood so we didn't pay for this, but as always, if I'm not really into it, it doesn't get posted. We visited @andchips_ by Eunice Power last week 📍 Located in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford After watching every single reel I could find, multiple times so I could see what I wanted to order before I even got there 🤣 and then skipping lunch because ya know hunger is a good sauce! I could not wait to get in and see this magic in action. We ordered a scampi, fish tacos and chicken wings! AND chips! Of course! And oh my goodness was this the best fish and chips I have ever had! Well yes, yes it was. So much so that I may have to drive back down just to go there and eat again! For a less chaotic do over.
