This is a high-level concept about lateral pelvic tilt that a lot of people don’t consider - your imbalances often not equal at the upper and lower body. Your body is likely turned to one side overall. For most people, it’s the right (Doi et. al, 2011), which is why I use the right side as the example in this reel. However, if your upper body is the thing that is leading you to the right, then it won’t matter how much lower body corrective work you do - you’re not addressing the root cause. Doing something that will help turn your trunk back to the left (or the side opposite where your body wants to turn), is key. In this reel I give an example for that I see commonly - an upper body more turned right than the lower body. Instagram reels can’t be over 3 minutes without them not being shown to a lot of people so I had to cut the other exercise out.
