During Annely’s last session, we focused on improving her swings to the left and right in order to avoid the opponent middle blocker. As a middle blocker, Annely understands the importance of having strong ball control and footwork to execute these swings effectively. Ball control is a fundamental skill in volleyball, and it is especially important for hitters like Annely. We worked on drills and exercises that helped her improve her receiving and passing accuracy, which allowed her to set up her approach and take her swings with greater precision and power. Footwork is another crucial aspect of executing effective swings, and Annely demonstrated her skills in this area during the session. She was able to position herself well on the court, making it easier for her to take her approach and hit the ball at the right angle. Throughout the session, Annely remained focused and determined, showing a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. As her coach, I was impressed by her progress and provided her with feedback and guidance to help her improve even further. Overall, Annely’s last session was a success, and I look forward to seeing her continue to develop her skills on the court. Annely Juda Fine Art is pleased to announce a major solo exhibition of works on paper by David Nash in collaboration with Galerie Lelong & Co., Paris, spanning 45 years of his practice. This significant exhibition marks Nash’s 10th solo show with Annely Juda Fine Art and the second dedicated entirely to his works on paper. David Nash’s lifelong exploration of the nature of wood and its habitats has established him as one of Britain’s foremost artists working in sculpture and environmental installations. Through his profound understanding of the qualities of trees - both in life and after being cut - he has developed a unique artistic idiom. Drawing has played a vitally important role alongside his sculptural work. What began as a tool for sketching ideas for sculptures soon evolved into an independent creative endeavour, as effective in swiftly capturing ideas as the physical directness of carving. David Nash: 45 Years of Drawing offers a rare opportunity to explore the full scope of Nash’s engagement with drawing, revealing the integral role it has played in his broader artistic journey.
