Had appendicitis surgery in february and for 1 month it was all about patience and slowly getting back on track. It’s crazy how life can change from one second to another. February was going slow and mentally hard, but it’s part of the game... Life is not always perfect, but this is what makes you appreciate even more when the good times come; I faced april and march with a positive mindset and motivation to put in the work to come back stronger than before and this is the situation at the end of april. Yesterday went to osteopath to fix the misalignment that I have in my hips, feet and paper back. And surprisingly, one of the major cause for it was appendicitis surgery that i had around 20 years ago. The doctor is really good, he is Egyptian, speaks Arabic very well 😝 and he understands the connection of our earlier childhood health issues or conditions with current misalignments and body problems. Plus he actually worked to fix mine on the spot. I felt the difference right after session (it’s not the case for everyone, you may not feel it alatol). Also, he mentioned about c-section, that it greatly influences the alignment & flexibility/ openness by creating sort of lock in the body (same like my appendicitis) Will be sharing his contact with pleasure 🫶

3 weeks ago I decided to attempt running the UTK30 to celebrate the end of my finals and crazy months of balancing uni, working to pay for uni, and training… I didn’t run a single trail in 4 months since I had my appendicitis surgery in July, and my longest run was 13k… I went with zero expectations and just the wish to HAVE FUN, to soak all the energy of the trails in and shake my nerves out. What a beautiful and incredible day it was 🥹 I’ll do a little race recap but for now I’m on crewing duties… no rest for the wicked we’re up through the night 😍💪🏼 It is truely incredible and deeply inspiring to see all these people taking on the miler (160k) and the 100k, uniting together to get it done, supporting each other and pushing their limits.
