my first appointment of my electrolysis experience to permanently remove my unwanted chin hairs! *for some context - chin hairs run in my genetics & I don’t really have much other unwanted facial hair that bugs me, but they have always been very unwanted & annoying to me!* I am typically plucking them every 2-4 days & was recommended to look into electrolysis! For a month before my first appointment, my technician recommended I use a little facial shaver and NOT pluck at all. I also was told to not shave the area for 3 days before an appointment. EVERY TIME my sister, husband, or I go to this dentist, we wait 15-20 minutes after the scheduled appointment time to get started. As a surgeon in 🇨🇦 our office tries extremely hard to book appointments that are convenient for patients. 📅 Appointment times are chosen in discussion with the patient and although it is not our responsibility to remind patients of their own scheduled appointments, text reminders are sent out days in advance as a courtesy. Just like all office operations, this isn’t a service paid for by OHIP, this is at a cost to the clinic 😔 And yet, we still have patients ‘no show’ to their appointments. Yes, there are legitimate reasons (illness, weather etc) but usually we get a call on the same day to reschedule. Most who do not show, simply provide no explanation and then, days later, request another appointment which will not be given without a fee paid. 🙋‍♀️ Why does this continue to happen?
