Muammar Gaddafi was a Libyan military officer and political leader who ruled Libya from 1969 until 2011. He came to power through a coup that overthrew King Idris I and established the Libyan Arab Republic. Gaddafi promoted a political philosophy he called the “Third International Theory,” outlined in his Green Book, which rejected both Western capitalism and Soviet-style communism. He claimed to support direct democracy through local councils, but in practice Libya operated as an authoritarian state with power centralized around him. During his rule, Libya’s oil wealth funded large infrastructure projects and social programs, raising living standards for many citizens. However, his government was also accused of widespread human rights abuses, suppression of dissent, and support for militant groups abroad. In 2011, amid the Arab Spring uprisings, protests against his rule escalated into a civil war. With NATO intervention backing rebel forces, Gaddafi was captured and killed in October 2011, bringing an end to his 42-year rule.

3rd May 2025 - Jacaranda Season in Abha- Today's video was captured right in the heart of Abha, Saudi Arabia - and honestly, the city looks like something out of a dream. It's Jacaranda season here, and everything around is painted in beautiful shades of purple. Tourists from all over have come to see this magical time of the year. The Art Street, Abu Khayal Park, and Airport Park are all covered with blooming Jacaranda trees. The streets, parks, and even the air feel different - peaceful, happy, and full of life. This is the most beautiful time of the year in Abha, but it only lasts for a short while. That's why everyone waits for it the whole year, just to enjoy these few precious weeks. And guess what? There are even vintage cars parked on Art Street, and it looks like a scene from an old movie - flowers, old cars, happy faces... everything feels so special. 📍Art street - Abha , Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦❤️💜
