Many comments and questions about this one! Here is the IN DEPTH answer: (Read on if youre brave) Every draw style has some action on the arrow due to the way the tension twists the string, or the fingers press on the arrow (exception mechanical draw aids). No matter what draw style, for barebow (not center shot, compound etc) we need the arrow to be pressing against the bow. Without pressure pushing the arrow on the bow, we don't get the vital "archers paradox." The archers paradox is a Cool Physics Thing (TM) It is where, upon release, the arrow bends around the riser, and then continues to bend in the air. This bending keeps the arrows trajectory straight. This is why your spine weight (the thickness of the arrow) matters. If you have a thick and stiff arrow, without enough force, the arrow will fly without bending, like throwing a stick. With the correct combination of spine thickness and bow draw weight, the arrow will bend in mid air keeping a straight trajectory through bending the shaft of the arrow. Your draw plays an important part in this too, because on barebow the width of our riser is thicker than the string, so the arrow sits at an offset angle. For the arrow to bend around the riser there must be some presure against it. So, with split finger and 3 under, the arrow sits on the finger side, because the fingers are hooked around the string and the straight wrist slightly twists the string in towards the bow. With thumb draw and slavic, the hand is twisted in towards the bow so the arrow sits on the finger side. For a right handed archer, 3 finger twists the string clockwise on a horizontal plane, while thumb and slavic twist the string counterclockwise on a vertical plane via acting on the string and the arrow. Nice work getting through that 👏 👍 #horsearchery #mountedarchery #mountedarcher #horsebackarchery #archeryclass

Ever wonder how top archers fine-tune their arrow setup to crush 3D targets? Here's the insider scoop you won’t want to miss. 🔥

#physics #science #archery if you are keeping track it is amazing how much of everyday life is just a few simple physics principles. Here we are again discussing elastic energy as we look at the physics of a bow! Humans leveraged so much cool physics before Galileo and Newton did their stuff!!

Here’s the next step in our arrow build process— Checking the internal straightness! In the past I would check the external straightness and always ensure the nock was in the straightest part of the arrow, but this takes it a step further! One thing I want to correct is in the video I said you can get them all perfect, and that isn’t usually true. You’re trying to get them all similar and acceptable and catch any that are outside your acceptable range! And what that acceptable range is depends on the quality of your arrow! We got all of these to be within .002 internal! #easton #insight #arrowbuild @eastonarchery

@ultraviewarchery is the strongest and most durable arrow I’ve ever shot. Compared to the competitors from brands E, G, and V I’ve used, I’d take Ultraview all day every day. Tell them Jason Taylor or jasdtaylor sent you and I can guarantee they’ll take great care of you. #ultraview #ultraviewarchery

Arrows are one of the most overcomplicated aspects of archery. I think most people really overthink them. One of the most common questions we get in the shop is “should I change arrow diameters or go to a different arrow in general.” I would say it depends. Typically I tell people there’s no reason to upgrade to a different diameter shaft if there is nothing wrong with their current arrow set up. There have been plenty of deer killed with your more affordable standard diameter arrows. However, if you were looking to build an arrow for a specific purpose or upgrade to a higher quality arrow because you feel it will Improve your capabilities then I say go for it. I personally gravitate to a 5MM arrow diameter as a do all arrow. I use that diameter for TAC events, hunting and 3-D. That shaft size just tends to be very durable and fly very well at extreme distances for me. Everyone’s different but I don’t think you need to overcomplicate an arrow build, you can keep it simple and be just as lethal.

Just wanted to share some quick data with you on the new Easton 3.2! This is part 1 of 3. Every time we build arrows we have a testing process to weed out any that don’t fit within certain parameters. We don’t actually worry about arrow weight until the very end, that was just for his info since it’s a new arrow. But spine is a big one for us, and these 3.2’s crushed that test! Arrow spine is usually where we would potentially lose a few arrows due to inconsistencies, but not on these 👏🏼 Anyone who has played with the AC arrows from Easton can see through testing like this how amazing they really are. When someone asks if an arrow is good, how do you even answer that if you don’t put your arrows through rigorous testing? When we say we shoot the best, it’s not us just saying that. It can be proven time and time again through our testing process. There are more steps than this and these clips won’t show the whole process, so I will film that for you guys soon! But for now, I have a few quick clips from Tate testing these and the Sonics I want to share with you, so stay tuned for part 2 and 3. #easton #insight #arrow
