Very first edition of the Elysian Art Letter Club, I’ve kept only 20 letters. 🙈 Honestly, I wasn’t sure how many people would want something like this, or even how long it will go on. But it was an idea that truly excited me, and I had to try it without overthinking. I’ve seen artists outside India create little art mail clubs and I always thought, “How special is that?” So here I am, finally giving it a try! Each month, this club will bring you a heartfelt letter, an art print, and a surprise sticker, all made and packed with love. 💌 I really look forward to connecting with you through this in a more personal way. You actually don’t need a large following! 😳💌 1. Posting on social media regularly! 🙌 It’s more important than having a huge following, and dont forget, quality > quantity. If you dont have something good to post, it’s best you dont post at all. 2. Having good art. 🎨 That alone can bring you lots of members to your mail club, but art is subjective. So make art YOU like and people who love your art style will find you. 3. Make your mail club worth signing up for! 💌 Have quality items in your letter, offer unique extras that go along with your main item (the print), and make some part of your mail different every month. ✨Bonus: Don’t forget to have fun! But I’m out of the blocks! 🤗 💌✨ Since deciding to create an art mail club I have seen so many reels and videos of artists surrounded by piles and piles of envelopes, and though that is the ultimate dream, I knew the likelihood was that this is something that won’t be huge right from the start, but that will hopefully grow over time. And this first month since launching was going to be a tricky one! I am so proud of the artwork but I am keeping it a closely guarded secret until my subscribers have received it. The Illustrated Post is all about creating a quiet ritual, stepping back from a screen, and enjoying a quiet moment to appreciate something lovely sent through the post, as there is just not enough happy mail about anymore! I wanted those who have signed up to see the artwork in the hands before they see it on a screen. I am honestly so very grateful to the 9 members that have taken a leap of faith and signed up to my little art club!
