Action. Wonder. Adventure. Artemis II has got it all. Don't miss the moment. Our crewed Moon mission will launch as early as April 1. Learn how to watch at nasa.gov. Credit: NASA

Artemis II 2026 🚀🌕 Artemis II marks a major milestone in human spaceflight. Launched by NASA, this mission is the first crewed lunar flyby since 1972, designed to test the Orion spacecraft and Space Launch System (SLS) with astronauts onboard 👨🚀 🔹 No lunar landing on this mission 🔹 Primary objective: validate life-support systems, navigation, and deep-space operations 🔹 Critical step toward a sustained human return to the Moon The next phase, Artemis III, aims to achieve a crewed lunar landing and expand long-term exploration capabilities 🌙 #NASA #Artemis #SpaceScience #Moon #HumanSpaceflight

🚀 ARTEMIS II MOON MISSION PATH ┌──────────────────────────────────────┐ Artemis II is a 10-day, 600,000-mile journey around the Moon The spacecraft launches from Earth and enters orbit It travels outward toward the Moon in a curved trajectory The crew flies around the Moon without landing The spacecraft then returns safely back to Earth This mission prepares humans for future lunar landings #space #science #fact #facts └──────────────────────────────────────┘

Our Artemis II crew will be going around the Moon... but they’ll always find their way back home 🌎 During this complex and far-reaching journey, the four crew members will travel ~685,000 miles looping around the Moon and back to Earth in a span of about 10-days. The mission follows a free-return trajectory that uses the gravity of the Earth and Moon to naturally guide the crew home. During the mission, the astronauts are going to get a unique perspective of the Moon while testing Orion’s systems and performing science operations. Compilation of the Artemis II mission so far!🚀 The Artemis II mission has progressed largely as planned since its launch, marking a major step forward for human spaceflight beyond low Earth orbit. The Orion spacecraft successfully completed its initial orbit and performed the translunar injection burn, setting the crew on course for the Moon. Early in the mission, minor technical issues such as brief communication dropouts and a small onboard system malfunction occurred, but none posed a serious risk and were quickly resolved. The mission is expected to last around 10 days in total. Next, the crew will conduct a lunar flyby, traveling around the far side of the Moon before heading back toward Earth. The mission will conclude with a high speed reentry and splashdown, testing systems for future lunar landings. Comment 🙌 if you read the caption!

#luna #tierra #artemis

Buckle up, because the Artemis II flight path is basically the ultimate cosmic rollercoaster🎢 Instead of a straight shot, NASA is sending four astronauts on a “hybrid free-return trajectory.” They’ll whip around Earth to gain speed, then use the Moon’s gravity like a giant slingshot to hurl themselves back home. No engine burns for the return trip—just pure orbital mechanics and vibes. #artemis #moon #fyp #nasa #space

Artemis II has officially launched. For the first time since Apollo, humans are heading back around the Moon, as Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen begin NASA’s first crewed Artemis mission aboard SLS and Orion. This roughly 10-day test flight is a huge step toward returning astronauts to the lunar surface. 📸 John Howard for Cosmoknowledge
