🎬 Atlas Mercury Lens Shootout | Anamorphic Lens Test 🎥 We tested the Atlas Mercury namorphic lenses with three different cameras: the @reddigitalcinema Raptor, the @sony Burano, and the @sony FX6. Explore how these lenses handle color rendition, bokeh, and flares across different camera systems. What unique visual characteristics can you expect when pairing these lenses with cameras built for varying needs? All the clips are color managed in Davinci Resolve with rec.709 gamma 2.4 without any color correction or grading. Whether you’re a DP, cinematographer, indie filmmaker or videomaker, understanding how glass interacts with different sensors is key to achieving the perfect look for your project. 📌 Check out our website for rentals and more! 👇 Let us know in the comments which camera and lens combination you prefer! #AtlasMercury #LensShootout #SonyBurano #REDRaptor #SonyFX6 #Anamorphic #Cinematography #Filmmaking #Videography #CameraGear #LensComparison #FilmedOnAtlas

Mounting anamorphic lenses vertically! 🎥 There’s a few ways to film with anamorphic lenses differently while optimizing it for social media! One way I found is to mount the lens normal while rotating the sensor 90 degrees to get vertical anamorphic footage! The @sonycine FX6 has a 16:9 sensor while the @atlaslensco 54mm Mercury is a 1.5x lens, so I used the setting on my @smallhd to monitor the desqueese by the inverse of lens which was 0.67x (~0.70x)! Also, thanks to @dan_kanes for letting me know that you can use a 3240x4096 pixel timeline and extract to 3240x1820 pixels to get horizontal footage out of your vertical image! #atlaslensco #atlasmercury #sonycine #sonyFX6 #FX6 #cameragear #filmmakinggears #cinemacamera #behindthescenes #anamorphic #verticalanamorphic #lenses #learnfilmmaking #atlasscope

#baader #baaderplanetarium #celestron #astrophotography #astronomy #telescope #sattelite #iss #diy
