This is where molten metal is transformed into fine, spherical metallic powders—the essential raw material for advanced manufacturing techniques like 3D metal printing (Additive Manufacturing), high-performance coatings, and powder metallurgy. ​The Art of Powder Manufacturing ​This process is a prime example of rapid solidification, where liquid metal is shattered into billions of tiny droplets: ​The Setup: A large furnace melts high-purity metal (such as steel, aluminum, or titanium) into a liquid state.
