You’re going to want to SAVE this one… especially when you see what I used from @bunnings 👀🌯🌯 One of my most viral recipes… and only 10.2% of you saw it 👀 so I’m bringing it back for those who missed it. POV: the boys are craving kebabs but we’re staying home 😅 Honestly… better than takeaway. Fakeaway Chicken Kebabs 🌯 Chicken Ingredients • 1.5-2kg chicken (mix of thigh + breast) • ¼ cup olive oil • Juice of 2 lemons • 3 cloves garlic, finely grated • 1 heaped tbsp onion powder • 1 heaped tbsp paprika • 1 heaped tbsp sumac • Salt & pepper Method 1. Slice the chicken thinly and lightly smash it flatter so it cooks fast and gets that kebab texture. (Next time I need to be more patient and cut it even thinner-it’s worth it!) 2. In a large bowl mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, onion powder, paprika, sumac, salt & pepper. 3. Add chicken and coat really well. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (longer if you can). 4. Thread the chicken onto a vertical shawarma spit/rod (the Bunnings one 👌). Place half an onion on top so the juices drip down while cooking. 5. Roast in the oven on 200° until cooked through and golden on the edges. Slice off the cooked chicken layers to serve. Tahini Yoghurt Sauce Ingredients • 3 tbsp tahini • 3–4 tbsp Greek yoghurt • Juice of 1 lemon • Pinch salt • Sprinkle of sumac • Splash of cold water to loosen • Teaspoon cumin seeds or ground cumin •. Honey for some sweetness-optional but 👌 Method Whisk together until smooth and drizzly. I used the blender Pickled Onions Ingredients • 2 onions, thinly sliced • Juice of 1 lemon • Drizzle olive oil • 1 tsp salt • 2 tsp sumac Method Add everything to a bowl and mix together until the onions soften and turn slightly pink. Let sit for 15–30 minutes before serving. To serve Warm wraps and fill with: • Lettuce • Tomato • Chicken • Pickled onions • Tahini yoghurt sauce my boys also love to add bbq sauce or sweet chilli Wrap, roll and devour 🤤 Thanks to @sivanskitchen for the inspo!!
