ESLint, Prettier & Babel are being killed ⚡️ ⭐️ Rome is a unified formatter, linter, compiler & bundler for JavaScript & TypeScript. ⭐️ It is built in Rust so expect it to be blazingly fast. ⭐️ It claims to be 25x faster than prettier on code formatting. ⭐️ It works out of the box with zero configuration. ⭐️ It supports JavaScript & TypeScript with support to HTML, CSS & JSON coming soon. ⭐️ npm install rome or use a VSCode extension to get started. TLDR: Rome is a single unified package for linting, formatting, transpiling, compiling and testing your JS/TS code. Until now you need to use ESLint for linting, Prettier for formatting, Babel for transpiling and Webpack for compiling JS or TS Compiler for Typescript compilation. All these tools are separate and very difficult to maintain and are slow because they use JS. Rome will have all these tools as unified and will use Rust instead of JS.
