me and my backpacks against the world🎒🏔️ From 12+ hour days in the mountains with nothing but a vest, to multiple days of food and gear packed into a big yellow backpack - @rei has me covered for all my adventures 🤝 #REIpartner

More on each pack 👇🏼✨ First, no matter what bag you choose to travel with, make sure it has good zippers!! A company sent me a backpack before my 5-month trip that I was going to use, but once I got it and saw the quality of the pack and the zippers it was an immediate NO. Most of the packs are in my story highlight "links" 1. @rei Recycled Ruckpack 40L (carryon) This one is currently on sale for 30% off! It looks like they're discontinuing it but I think it's just that color If you have a heavier pack (25lbs / 11kg or more), I prefer this pack because it stays comfortable even when heavy. I also love how you can zip away the straps in case you decide to use it as a checked bag. 2. @cotopaxi Allpa 35L (carryon) I've had my Allpa since 2020 and used it for every trip until my cat peed on it (she was mad at me when I got back home from a trip) BUT it's a fantastic bag. The built-in packing cubes and organization are great and the new model even looks like it has some better additions (water bottle pocket!!). I will say, the model that I have was not comfortable when packed over 20/25 lbs, but I can't speak to the new version because it looks like they changed the placement of the hip straps. 3. @gregorypacks Border 40L (carryon*) This one is very similar to the Cotopaxi and at a friendlier price point. I really like the organization of this bag and it has a "smelly clothes" compartment to keep things separate. Similar to the Cotopaxi, it was not comfortable when packed over 20/25 so it's better for short trips or if you don't have heavy gear! *I have had trouble using this as a carryon when it's packed FULL... usually just have to take a few items out. 4. @ospreypacks Kyte 46L I got my bag on sale a few years ago and it looks like they only make a 30 and 48L version now. I added this one to the video to show the difference of when I would prefer a top-loading bag (& some people prefer these for regular travel!). These bags are great for outdoor activities and I see tons of people use them for international backpacking as well! #solofemaletraveler #travelbackpack

My backpacks and if I recommend them 👇 Comment "BAG" and I'll send ya a link to all of these! (and remember, if you're just getting started, the best backpack is the one you already have!) from largest to smallest: @ospreyeurope Aura 65L > YES if you are a heavy packer or do winter backpacking!! just be sure to get sized!! @rei Trail Co-op 40L > MAYBE I think this one fits very specific needs that are not my own! @gregorypacks Juno 30L > YES YES!! I got this on a sale rack and have put 100s of miles on it and will put 100s more! @rei Flash 18L > YES but only if you need something packable and ultralight! @ospreyeurope Skimmer 16L > NO it’s not a bad bag but I think there’s probably better options for the size! @salomon Active Skin 8L > it passed the jump test but I need to test it more to see…but have heard great things (I actually did research on this one!) Do you have a favorite backpack?? One that changed the game for you? Pack with me for 3 months in central and South America!!! (In just a carryon) My backpack is the Cotopaxi allpa 50L adventure travel pack (ad/ gifted) #packwithme #backpacking

If Hermione had a backpack 🎒, it would be this 40L because it’s deceptively large — it looks small and helps me pack minimally (and passes as my carry-on ✈️), but it’s also large enough to fit more than I need so I end up overpacking anyway 😅 💀 It’s my “everything” bag from trekking trips to moving across the world! 🌍 Do you have a go-to backpack 🎒 for full-time travel? I wanna know what size has worked best for you! I may consider downsizing to a 35L (could I do 30L??) but not upsizing 🫠 it would be too heavy for me! Comment “backpack” and I’ll send you my link! 🔗 #nomadiclife #adventuregirl #digitalnomad #backpacks

11 months of backpacking - complete✌️ I don’t really have the words to sum up my trip or how I’m feeling right now, so I leave you with the best souvenir I got from my travels…my backpack 🥹 Seeing it fill up with flags as I travelled and making it my mission to find patches every place I went honestly brought me so much joy. I’m not a person who idealizes “country counting” but this just became a visual reminder of all the incredible places I was able to visit this year ❤️ For those wondering, this is the @ospreypacks Fairview 55L! It comes with a smaller backpack that zips to the front but I took it off so that the bag is around 40L on its own. So if you’re about to start your own backpacking trip, let me be the one to tell you to collect patches along the way! 🇦🇱🇰🇭🇨🇦🇮🇩🇯🇵🇱🇦🇲🇾🇰🇷🇱🇰🇪🇸🇹🇼 ~~~~~ 💙 Follow @soniaseestheworld for more tips and travel inspiration! #travel #travelgram #instatravel #travelcommunity #travelcreatives #backpacking #solotravel #backpack #backpackinglife #solofemaletravel #solofemaletraveler #travelinspo

I wish I learned these tricks earlier 🤔👇🏼 Save this for future reference! Learning how to pack a backpack more efficiently is something that takes a lot of time, so I’m hoping to shorten some of that down for you!! All of these hacks have allowed both of us to downsize our packs and not have tons of stuff hanging on the outside. It’s amazing what a little rearranging can do! What I really want to emphasize is that backpacking is a huuuuuge learning experience. We learn something new every single time. And it’s okay to not do it all right the first (or 10th time). What matters is that you’re enjoying your time out there and that you find ways to make it easier on yourself. For a full packing guide and what we bring, we just posted a YouTube video with an entire breakdown of our gear and how we pack it! @the_adventureaddicts on YouTube Do you have any other tips to downsize your pack? (Also I don’t know why I filmed this so high and left everything down at the bottom of the screen where you can barely see it. Will do better next time 😅) #backpacking #backpackinglife #hikinggear #campinglife #hikersofinstagram

I used to have WAY to many backpacks… but now, I keep 5 in my van that all have very specific purposes 🤪 - Climbing: @mammutna Neon 45 (note: I will be buying a lighter weight climbing back in the near future as I do more alpine + trad climbing) - Travel: @cotopaxi Allpa 42 - Backpacking: @gregorypacks Maven 55l - Daypack: @cotopaxi Elqui 24l - Adventure Daypack: @mammutna Trion 15 (you will not catch me DEAD without the pack on a big adventure day) what are your favorite backpacks?? also anyone got recs for lightweight, alpine bags? #adventure #travel #rockclimbing #backpackinggear #travelgear #vanlife #nomad #solovanlife

if I was buying my first backpack again 👇🏼 #ad I remember buying my first backpack 5 years ago and having no idea what we were looking for. There are SO many backpacking packs on the market, all with tiny differences and unique features, and it felt super overwhelming!! So, after backpacking for the last 5 years and testing out quite a few different styles, here are some things we have learned to be super useful for comfort & functionality on the trail! We are wearing new @gregorypacks here, I have the Maven 58L and Kelby is wearing the Paragon 60L (the men’s version). These packs carry so comfortably, have plenty of room to fit everything you need for 2 nights or 7 nights! Our code for Gregory is adventureaddicts15 for 15% off their website! @gregorypacks partnered with @garminoutdoors to create a unique shoulder pocket that fits the Garmin inReach Mini & Messenger. We usually have it hanging in this same spot for easy access, so having a dedicated pocket is really nice and makes it so it’s not bumping around. There’s also a place to hook it onto the pack inside the pocket so it cannot come off! Here are a few other things we recommend in a first pack: • Get fitted!! Many stores will be able to help you properly fit your pack to your body for the most comfortable wear. There are also a lot of videos online showing how to do this at home! • 55-65L is what we usually recommend for a first pack. This will have plenty of space for all of your gear plus a couple of luxuries, and will get you on any length of trip (they can always compress smaller, but can’t get bigger!) • adjustable back: many packs have an adjustable frame to allow you to get the best fit • comfort!! Above all else, you want a pack that’s comfy to wear for long hard days. An uncomfortable pack can cause bruising or pressure sores which can make a trip really miserable!! • lifetime warranty: Gregory packs has a lifetime guarantee on their products & will repair/replace damaged products!! Are you hoping to start backpacking this season? Lmk if you have any questions!! #gregoryambassador #backpacking #backpackinggear #campinggear #hikinggear
