A rap summary of the 2026 Ridvan message! 🙏🏽 - At the National Convention of the Baha'is of the United States, I was inspired to write some rhymes highlighting some of the key points from the newly released Ridvan letter from the Universal House of Justice! 💙 - During one of the sessions, I decided to share the rap with everyone gathered, and invited up National Spiritual Assembly member (and fellow lover of rap/hip hop), Tim Conley (aka @professahtee ) to accompany the rhymes with a freestyle beatbox! He rocked it! 🎤 - It was a joyful moment (and such a fun way to explore the Baha'i Writings and guidance). A world religion with millions of followers… founded in the Holy Land. Not Judaism. Not Christianity. The Bahá'í Faith. It begins in Persia in 1844 with The Báb, a young merchant claiming to be “The Gate” to a new revelation. The authorities executed him before a crowd of 10,000 — but his prophecy didn’t die. He said another Messenger was coming. And he did: Bahá'u'lláh, a Persian nobleman exiled across the Ottoman Empire until they finally dumped him in the prison city of Akka — “the end of the world.” From his cell, he wrote letters to the rulers of Europe — Napoleon III, Queen Victoria, the Tsar — warning that if they didn’t unite for peace, their empires would fall. And within decades, they did. When the British took Palestine in WWI, they treated his followers not as prisoners but allies. In 1920 they even knighted his son, `Abdu'l-Bahá, for feeding the poor of Haifa during the war. From that moment the faith exploded worldwide — no clergy, democratic administration, scriptures in 800 languages, communities across the globe. And the bones of The Báb, executed in Persia, were placed in a golden shrine on Mount Carmel. Jerusalem has the Western Wall. Haifa has the Gardens.
