Polis mengesahkan pemandu ‘bas pink’ yang tular kerana memandu secara berbahaya di Taman Angkasa Nuri semalam didapati positif syabu, manakala pemandu Perodua Axia terlibat disahkan negatif dadah. Kejadian pada 8.25 pagi itu menunjukkan kedua-dua kenderaan membrek secara mengejut dan bergerak secara zig-zag sehingga membahayakan pengguna jalan raya lain. Tiada penumpang berada dalam bas ketika insiden berlaku. Pemandu bas berusia 47 tahun telah ditahan selepas ujian air kencingnya positif metamphetamine, dan polis memohon reman untuk siasatan di bawah Seksyen 42(1) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987. 💖 Hi Barbie Girl! 💖 Girly girls, this is dedicated to you. 🙏🏿 Guess the age I first played bass? Prepare for a shocker.   🌸 One day, we’re all taking turns going to the music room trying different instruments and choose the one we want to play. I walk in knowing I want to play double bass in orchestra.   Just as I reach for the double bass, feeling its cool, polished surface beneath my fingers, the teacher’s voice cuts through my anticipation. The room gets silent. Everyone is looking at me.   The teacher tells me that I shouldn’t play bass and should play tuba instead because of my “small hands.” (It’s wild that some lady’s bias could have changed the entire course of my life—had I listened to her.)   🌱 Undeterred, I transfer schools the next year, and play double bass without resistance.   ✨ I think my orchestra director is happy to see a little lady on bass, actually.   I’m determined. I rent instruments from school for my first few years of being a bass player. Then, after what seems like an eternity of waiting, my grandmother buys me my first electric bass. 🎉   So, in many ways, it’s like I start playing in my teens.   Even though I’ve never taken private bass guitar lessons, (I briefly took jazz lessons on upright in college,) I’ve been playing bass since I was about 12 and I’ve been teaching bass for nearly as long.   🌈  I think it is less than a year after I got my first bass guitar that I gave my first bass lesson.   I was able to teach a woman 10 years older than me enough in three months to join a band. 💞 The experience inspired me. Since then, I’ve taught over 100 students individually and in larger groups at Girls Rock Camp and music schools.   ✨💖 I love seeing new bassists find their musicianship and settle into their own groove on bass. It’s a truly magical feeling.
