Bedmi Puri One of North India’s Favourite breakfast made with wheat flour and stuffed with spices urad dal mixture… tastes more like a Kachori , paired with Aloo ka Rassa is a perfect Weekend Brunch !!! Ingredients Serves - 4 Urad dal - 1/2 cup Ginger - 1” piece Green chillies - 2 to 3 Red chillies - 2 Fennel seeds - 1 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp Hing - a generous pinch Salt to taste Water to grind - 2 tbsp Oil to roast - 2 tbsp For dough Whole wheat flour - 2 cups Oil - 2 tbsp Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder - 1 tsp Salt to taste Water to knead Oil to fry Method 1) Wash and soak Urad dal for 5-6 hours. Drain the water and grind with all the ingredients mentioned above to a coarse paste. 2) Heat 2 tbsp oil and roast this mixture for 5 mins until it becomes little dry and loses extra moisture. Cool it completely. 3) Take the above mixture in a wide plate, add turmeric, chilli powder, oil, wheat flour and salt. Knead to a semi soft dough. 4) Roll out Puri and fry on medium to high flame until golden brown.
