A Random Detour Before Driving Back to Penang… That Led Me to This Small Town Before heading back to Penang from KL that morning, we thought—why not make one last stop somewhere unexpected? Instead of the usual spots, we searched for something a little more local… and ended up in Kundang, a small town in Rawang, Selangor. Operating from a humble wooden shack, Sin Loong Kee serves freshly handmade Hakka lou shu fun alongside simple yong tau foo. You can immediately tell the noodles are handmade—the uneven strands give it away. If you’re not familiar, lou shu fun is a type of rice noodle. Back in Penang, we call it bee tai bak. But beyond the food, what stayed with me was the atmosphere—the quiet pace, the regulars, the feeling of a tight-knit local community. It’s the kind of place you don’t plan for, but end up remembering. Honestly, it’s worth the detour before making that long drive back to Penang. 📍 Sin Loong Kee Noodles 12A, Jalan Pekan 1, Kampung Baru Kundang, 48020 Rawang, Selangor.

I was today years old when i found out that there are so many names to this dish - Mee tai bak, Bee tai mak, Lou Shu Fun.. but to me, it will always be 老鼠尾巴 (mouse's tail) because I grew up under the influence of my dad & his daily dad jokes 🤧🤧🤧 I got this recipe from @thelisafeed & this account is my saviour HAHA I can't believe i managed to whip up a meal for five in just 1+ hour (including the cleaning up part)! This is such an easy & quick meal to prepare is2g! Minced pork 3. Scallion 4.
