What are you reading? I just finished reading Buckeye, and it stayed with me in that quiet way that only certain books do. It doesn’t come at you with big speeches or dramatic moments. Instead, it moves slowly, letting every emotion show up in its own time. What really stood out was how everything connects in the end. Not neatly, not loudly, but the way real life does. Small moments you barely notice early on end up carrying real weight later. There isn’t a lot of dialogue, yet the emotions are everywhere, living in the descriptions, the pauses, and the choices people make. It’s a novel about ordinary people, small decisions, and the long-term emotional effects those decisions leave behind. No big plot twists. No flashy set pieces. Just human lives unfolding. Now that Buckeye is done, I’m about to crack open My Friends by Fredrik Backman and see where that story takes me next.

Happy Friday!☀️ I can’t believe I’m just now reading Beartown. Wow. Nobody does it like Fredrik Backman. And it always amazes me that his books are translations. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series, this one was definitely life changing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And Broken Country. I couldn’t put this one down. It read just like a thriller and though I HATE CHEATERS and found Beth to be pretty irritating at times, I finished it in less than 12 hours. Really good writing. Justice for Frank.
