Bernat Sheepy vs. lion brand go for fleece Similarities Both of these yarns are Sherpa style. They're both very soft and have wonderful texture Differences Lion brand skeins are smaller than Bernats Bernat has more of a chunky Sherpa there's big pieces of floof whereas lion brand is thinner and more consistent throughout. Bernat is a little smoother to work with but while lion brand is a little stickier ( I think it gets stuck on the hook more doesn't slide as smoothly) it is still super nice as a finished product. Pros of both The texture. They both add a lot of texture to your pieces and the dimension is so beautiful. Between the two brands there is a decent amount of color options. Not as many as some types of yarn but there's still beautiful colors to work with. They're both so soft. The finished product is so plush and wonderful Cons of both I mean does it need to be said it's faux furs cousin. It's harder to work with. That's the price for the texture. I think sheepy is a little easier to work with but they're pretty similar. I think that it is easier to work with than faux fur (although my friend has informed me that I might be alone in that 🤣 sorry @the_knottyfox ) It relies a lot on crochet by feel and that's not for everyone. I think it's worth it for the end product but it's obviously harder to work with than standard blanket yarn. I have never been able to find either of these in store.
