Voici notre itinéraire pour 2 jours : 🥾 la randonnée emblématique de Mirador Base de las Torres. 22km, D+1200 mètres Pars avant 7h car c’est une randonnée très fréquentée ! 🛣️ La route du parc Torres del Paine et ses nombreux stops. Celui-ci se trouve vers la Hosteria Pehoé. 🌊 La sublime cascade Salto Chico et son eau d’un bleu irréel. Petite marche de 1km dans chaque sens. Attention, c’est une zone très venteuse 🌬️ 🪵 Ces passerelles se trouvent vers l’hôtel Explora et t’offre une vue époustouflante sur les Cuernos del Paine. A faire au lever du soleil. 🌊 Lac Pehoé est idéal à faire au coucher du soleil 📸 rends toi à l’Hosteria Pehoé ⛰️ Mirador Condor, randonnée de 3.6 km aller/retour avec un dénivelé positif de 350 mètres. Places you MUST visit in Torres del Paine 🇨🇱👇🏻 📍Lago Grey: located on the western side of the park, it is a great spot to visit for both sightseeing and hiking. You can take a cruise around the lake from Hotel Lago Grey and admire the Grey Glacier up close. If you want something more adventurous you can hike to Mirador Grey(more details in one of my reels) 📍Lago Pehoé: this is one of my favorite spots in the entire park. Its turquoise waters, surrounded by jagged peaks, make it an ideal spot for photos and one of the best sunset/sunrise spots in the park. 📍Laguna Amarga: this is one of the best area in the park to see Pumas in my opinion. I was able to see some Pumas by myself just driving around that area. It was also my base for all my days in Torres Del Paine, the views at sunrise were stunning and the location is perfect. 📍Mirador Base Torres: This is the most famous hike in Torres del Paine. It’s a 22 km (13.7 mi) round trip with a challenging uphill final stretch to the lagoon. Expect it to take around 8 hours. Start early in the morning to avoid big crowds that can slow you down on the way up . It could be done as a day hike or you can sleep in the nearby campground 📍Salto Grande: A short, easy 1 mile walk leads to this powerful waterfall, where the waters of Lago Nordenskjöld crash down with incredible force. The backdrop of Cuernos del Paine makes it a picture-perfect stop. Winds are quite strong here and some days the trail could actual be closed because of the wind 📍Explora Boardwalks: these wooden paths near Explora Lodge are one of the most stunning viewpoints in the park. It’s a great places for photos and a perfect spot for sunset or sunrise. Best part of it? It’s not a hike, you can park the car right in front of the boardwalks. ¿Qué tal? 🏔️ Te dejo unas cifras que hablan por sí solas: en los meses de verano, con el peak en enero y febrero, el Parque Nacional Torres del Paine - el más famoso de la Patagonia chilena - puede recibir entre 60.000 y 70.000 turistas al mes. En invierno, el flujo es de 3.000 a 4.000 al mes (junio y julio siendo los meses más bajos), alrededor de 5.000 en agosto. ❄️ El incremento de visitantes en verano, si bien trae muchos beneficios a la economía local, también trae sus problemáticas - como el impacto en los senderos y, como lo hemos visto mucho últimamente, el no respeto de las reglas del parque en una época donde el riesgo de incendios es real. TORRES DEL PAINE TREK DAY 4: Camp Los Perros - Camp Grey 9.8 miles, 4,584 ft elevation gain, 5,653 loss Part 2: John Gardner Pass 100 mph winds… We got the full Patagonia experience while headed over the pass. We were already exhausted from climbing > 4,000 ft. The sleet was freezing and was continually stabbing our eyeballs. The wind knocked us over multiple times. Alanna’s tent flew out of her pack like a boomerang. There was literally nothing to do but keep pushing forward. This is the definition of type ll fun.. And technically… they weren’t wrong. We hiked all the way to the base of the iconic towers in Torres del Paine National Park and were greeted by… a very committed cloud. The Torres were playing hide and seek, and they were definitely winning. But standing there, wrapped in fog, knowing those granite giants were towering somewhere above us… it still felt powerful. Quiet. Humbling. A little mystical. Patagonia doesn’t promise perfect conditions. It promises an experience. And honestly? I’d hike into that cloud again in a heartbeat. BEST DAY EVER! Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile is the best place in the world to see Pumas, we stumbled across not one, not two but 4 pumas! They were feeding off a guanaco on the side of the road. For about an hour we watched the two adult females come out of the bushes with their two cubs and jump over the fence to grab a snack before heading back for a nap. We have literally dreamed of seeing pumas in Patagonia and it’s a massive tick off the bucket list, it was honestly one of the most special moments of the entire trip.
