Comment WATER and I’ll send you the app 💧 I lab tested bottled water to find out which ones are actually the cleanest — starting with Kirkland from Costco. Costco sells billions of bottles of this water every year, so I expected better… but the lab results told a different story. Kirkland showed two contaminants, including trihalomethanes at 9x over the health guideline. These are contaminants formed during water treatment and they’ve been linked to cancer. It also had trace levels of nitrate, giving it just a 26/100 on its lab report. Then I tested some “premium” waters like Voss and Fiji. Voss had 7 contaminants. Even though some were technically under guideline levels, that does not mean they’re harmless. It contained gross alpha, gross beta, and radium — radioactive elements with serious health concerns. Then came Fiji with 12 contaminants. The biggest red flags were arsenic, nitrate, and chromium, with arsenic testing at 250x over the health guideline. Big takeaway: just because a water looks premium does not mean it’s clean. Who remembers the test I did on some the most popular spring water. I was so disappointed with the results. I continued to purchase mountain valley beside they are bottled in glass. I moved around a lot and started buying mostly Crystal Geyser because it was the best option and more commonly available in most areas. Next on our list is Kirkland Signature Water, coming in at 41 out of 100 due to it having nine times the legal limit of trihalomethanes, which are a known endocrine receptor and even damage your reproductive system. Next on our list and a shocking one was Mountain Valley Spring Water, coming in at 50 out of 100, which turned out as okay, but it did have very high levels of arsenic, 40 times the recommended guideline. It’s well known I hydrate with the best hydration on the planet with Kangen water. But I do travel a lot and don’t always have my machine.
