Syarikat itu menegaskan bahawa kritikan yang dibuat adalah tidak tepat serta diambil di luar konteks, selain memberi gambaran seolah-olah sistem sedia ada bermasalah sepenuhnya. The call comes after the company issued a legal rebuttal defending its operations, which Santiago said cannot replace proper regulatory scrutiny. He also questioned claims that the system operates at zero cost to the government, arguing that fees collected for each foreign worker are ultimately borne by employers and workers. Santiago stressed that all financial flows, contracts, and fee structures should be fully disclosed for public accountability. He pointed out that the Auditor-General’s 2022 report had already highlighted weaknesses in FWCMS, including governance gaps and risks of manipulation. Findings by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) also revealed irregularities in approvals and procurement processes.
