Once upon a time, there were two little geese, strolling around in the yard every day. One day, the most mischievous little goose found an interesting way to play. It saw many big trees in the yard and said, "Why don’t we swing on the swings, it’s fun! The other little goose said, I’m afraid of heights, I don’t want to play!" Then it swung by itself, and the little goose said, "Come down quickly, it’s too dangerous." However, the little goose didn’t listen and only focused on playing. It played for a long time until it fell asleep from exhaustion...💔🕊 . . . . . . #reels #fyp #nature #love #sad #instagood #romance #minetypeshi #rest #in #peace #duck #animals

When we first arrived at Sequoia National Park, we definitely expected to see some big trees, but nothing could’ve prepared us for just HOW big these trees were. They were literally strikingly beautiful and felt like we were walking among giants. You could feel the wisdom and age exuding from them; it was so humbling. These trees are among the largest living organisms on Earth. They can reach heights of over 300 feet and have a trunk diameter exceeding 30 feet! (There’s even a tree in the park you can drive your car through!) The General Sherman Tree is one of the most famous giant sequoias and is considered the largest tree by volume on the planet. Some people have estimated the trees to be over 3,000 years old, making them some of the most ancient living things on Earth. As the trees towered over us and the sunlight peaked through the tree canopy, we were reminded of the wisdom they hold. These giants have witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations, enduring through the ages with grace and steadfastness. They teach us patience, resilience, and the importance of nurturing our environment for future generations. We couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to nature and even took a second to pause and reflect on the beauty of this earth. 🌎📜🌳 Have you ever seen trees this big?! #sequoianationalpark #bigtrees #nationalpark

California and Canada are covered in unhealthy second growth monoculture tree plantations that are logged every 50 years. This is because most of the old growth redwoods and Douglas fir trees have already been logged in California. Logging old growth is completely unsustainable, and replacing every old growth tree by planting a bunch of new trees does not help the environment. It makes wildfires worse , and areas that are logged and then replanted have 80% less wildlife biodiversity. Turning intact old growth forest ecosystems into monoculture plantations is factory farming, forestry style.
