If you’ve got a Lego lover in the family then Billund should be on your list! It’s where LEGO began and we found this city break to be super easy and SO much fun with kids. There are full reviews on my blog but in a nutshell: - you can fly to Billund in less than 90 minutes from the UK or take a train from Copenhagen. - We stayed at the Legoland hotel which was a short walk from the Lego House in the centre of Billund and really completed the experience with a Lego treasure trail & treat bags from reception plus playrooms full of Lego. - But there’s also Lalandia, like a danish Center Parcs with huge indoor water parks. - Book a slot for lunch/dinner in the Lego restaurant ahead of time. It’s such a unique experience that will blow your children’s minds - you place your order by building Lego & scanning into a computer - but also had really delicious, organic healthy food! - You’ll receive your own special LEGO combination when you leave & you get bonus bags in the restaurant to play with too. - Don’t miss the rooftop playground, play trails & slide through town and the danish bakery. 👋 and hi, if you’re new here.
