From Chaney : This passage is from one of my favorite @entheosofficial songs, Black Static (I), which is the opening track from our album DARK FUTURE. It is live, unedited and done in one take. On the album this particular part consists of high-pitched vocals that we then ran through a euro rack synth called TRSHMSTR to create an autofiltered distortion effect that has been dubbed the ‘digi-witch’. Lately I’ve been really enjoying the part with no vocoder, as I think it captures the nuance of my voice a bit better- especially through the changes in tonality that I like to throw into songs on a whim. As usual, thank you to my in-house engineer @navenekoperweis for not only shooting and tracking me, but for re-tracking the guitars so that we could alter the mix a bit. Shout out to @direct.sound headphones for providing my favorite pair of isolating studio headphones. Enjoy and have a beautiful day. 🌸🖤
