Many 𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥 patients are diagnosed after having excessive bleeding with a procedure only to find they had several red flags that should’ve clued in a suspicion. For the record: I’m not saying people don’t experience hemorrhaging, at all. I’m saying it’s not the movie scene you think it is 🍿 Now let’s use Ella and I as an example: We have a disorder that makes us have very little of a couple of vital blood components. This means that instead of our train to healing arriving safely at its destination with all its cars, instead it looks more like Austin Powers trying to turn that little cart around in International Man of Mystery. We may get there eventually but not without a lot of trouble and infusions/medications. It can have a big obvious impact like me getting released from surgery a full 7 weeks after I should have. Or something less obvious like when I get bruises from holding things while wearing a knit sweater.
