Do you want to know a trick I use to get really rich surfaces with acrylic paint? It starts with gloss medium. I use it in a way that preps the surface just right - combining a bit of moisture and the medium to create a texture that changes everything. The result? Paint that’s easier to manipulate, richer, and more dynamic.

Maybe it’s a weird thing, but I am in awe of my own work! It is extremely rare for me to don’t like a finished artwork, and even those ones grow on me in time. I know my art is not everyone’s cup of tea, and I am completely fine with it. For me matters much more how I feel during the process of creation, and how the finished piece of art is touching something in those of you that enjoy what I’m doing. I am dedicating myself to my works, each and every single one of them contains a part of myself, of my soul. I may not be present in the comments anymore, at least for a while until I manage to successfully distance myself from those ones that try to diagnose and discourage me, among others, but I’m here in the form that I think it matters most. Tired of wrinkly paper in your art? Here’s the secret to getting it perfectly flat. Wet the paper on both sides, lay down more gloss medium than you think you need, then press it in place with a credit card or trowel. Wipe away the extra, let it dry, and that paper won’t wrinkle, peel, or budge. Ever. Try it out and say goodbye to bubbly, wrinkly paper for good!

Took me some time to finish this one! But I'm slowly getting back into making art every day, especially for the sake of my mental health. At the core, my art is born from the chaos that is my mind, and in the current conditions with the (hopefully soon) new apartment, not having time nor energy to draw and paint, I have felt the negative effects pretty strong. The process of creating it gives me relief, time to think and to process things around me. It teaches me what is to have patience, how precious it is, in a world that is extremely rushed. I have been asked multiple times how do I handle mistakes in my work, so I thought today to talk a little about it. At the core I am a perfectionist, but through art and therapy I'm actively learning to embrace mistakes and to understand that they are a normal and required part of our life, in order to evolve and discover new things. Every time when I make a mistake in my paintings, and there are a lot of times 😅, I have two options. Either try or think how to fix it, either just go with it and make it a part of my artwork. Lately I'm finding myself more and more choosing the second option and I love the way it connects me even more with my drawings! Sometimes, pushing through, can lead to amazing results! Now I'm curious to know how do you handle yours.
