Our famous eucalyptus trees give the Blue Mountains their name and their colour 💙 One hour from Warrane (@sydney) are the peaks and valleys of the @visitbluemountains, home to the striking Three Sisters rock formations ☝️ Visit the team at @scenicworld_aus to soar over the valley in a cable car and wander along the lush rainforest floor with a local Aboriginal guide during the Buunyal Tour. 🎥: @parttimeglobetrotting 📍 : Three Sisters, @visitbluemountains, @visitnsw #SeeAustralia #ComeAndSayGDay #FeelNSW #BlueMountains ID: Camera pans across a landscape with three rock pillars in the foreground and a blue hued valley stretching beyond.

Hanging Rock in the Blue Mountains is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking places you can stand in Australia. The walk to get there is relatively easy, but standing on the edge, about 150m above the valley floor, almost feels like you’re floating in mid-air. And reaching the rock requires a leap across a one metre gap, and it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted. Would you stand on Hanging Rock? Please note: Not recommended in wet or windy conditions. I only felt comfortable standing there because the weather was calm and dry. #HangingRock #BlueMountains #VisitNSW #AustraliaTravel #AdventureSeekers #HikingAustralia #NatureVibes #GetOutside #ExploreAustralia #WildPlaces #CliffViews #TravelAustralia #EpicViews #MountainVibes #WeekendAdventure #NatureLovers #EdgeOfTheWorld #RockHopping #australia #seeaustralia #exploringaustralia #hikingaustralia #thisisaustralia #hike #hikeaustralia #hiking #rockformation #nsw #newsouthwales

The BEST hike in the Blue Mountains ⬇️ Don’t forget to save for later 🥰 The Blue Mountains is home to so many incredible hikes, but this track is one you simply can’t miss! This spectacular & fun hike takes you through the fern covered forest where you will descend into the canyon using stepping stones to cross creeks, pass by towering sandstone walls and even walk underneath a waterfall that’s so close you can touch it! Here’s what you need to know ⬇️ 📍Grand Canyon Track, Blue Mountains NP 🚐 1 hour 40 min from Sydney or 15 min from Katoomba 🅿️ Park at Evans Lookout or Grand Canyon carpark 🆓 No National park pass or entry fee 🥾 6.3km loop, grade 3 hike, 310m elevation, approx 3 hours (can do it in either direction but anti-clockwise is slightly easier) 🌅 Watch the sunrise at Evans Lookout or Govetts Leap Lookout and then start the track early to avoid the crowds & the heat (the stairs are brutal as it is) 📸 Take some time to enjoy the waterfalls & creek crossings on the track ☔️ Avoid hiking during or after heavy rain 🚻 Toilets located at both carparks 💧 Bring your own drinking water Don’t forget to follow @_wherestheway for more NSW inspo 🌞🚐 - - - #visitnsw #bluemountains #hikingaustralia #alltrails #grandcanyontrack

We knew this popular sunset spot in the Blue Mountains would be busy but we didn’t think it was going to be THAT busy 😂 We arrived an hour before sunset & there was 100s of tourists all lined up for the famous photo & blasting music. We spoke to a guy there who was Korean. He told us that the most famous Korean pop start took a photo in that exact spot so now everyone in Korea is has to get the exact shot. It was actually incredible to see how excited and happy he was telling us all about it. He was literally vibrating with happiness! 💡TOP TIP: wait until after the sunsets as the tourists will start to leave & you’ll get a shot in the beautiful blue hour ✨ We ended up being super stoked to have waited as the sunset colours popped off! ☀️☀️☀️ If you want to know a quieter sunset spot in the Blue Mountains, follow along as we’ll be sharing the location later this week!🌅 • • • • • • #bluemountains #lincolnsrock #nswsunset #newsouthwales #nsw #bluemountainsaustralia #bluemountainsnsw #travelaustralia

Do you think it was all worth it? ✨ You know I’d do anything for a waterfall but I’m gonna keep it real here and let you know that the water is next level freezing but I was numb because my body had already gotten use to it walking into the canyon (at one point) in chest deep water 😅 BUT all that being said it was honestly one of the most amazing hikes I’ve ever done. It challenged my mental strength (walking through icy water is not something I wanna do everyday), my physical abilities (climbing over and under rocks and fallen logs) and my navigation skills (we kept having to check we were going the right way) 🗺️ ‼️PSA: THIS IS A CANYON AND SHOULD NOT BE TREATED LIGHTLY - IT’S INTENSE, COLD AND PROBABLY THE HARDEST HIKE I’VE EVER DONE (PEOPLE HAVE HAD TO BE RESCUED)- DON’T DO WITHOUT RESEARCH OR CONFIDENCE IN YOUR ABILITIES & NAVIGATION SKILLS 👉🏼My recommendations: - Hike this trail anti clockwise if you’re following the @alltrails map - Pack snacks, water and a change of warm clothes - Wear bathers, hiking sandals or wet shoes - Bring a dry bag to put all your gear in - Don’t hike this during or after rainfall (flooding can occur) - Allow up to 4 hours for this one! 📍Dalpura Canyon and Jinki Ridge (check it out on AllTrails) . . . #hiddengemsaustralia #seeaustralia #beautifuldestinations #bluemountains #visitbluemountains #bluemountainsnsw

Your ultimate guide for a day exploring the Blue Mountains ⛰

Your ultimate guide for a day exploring the Blue Mountains ⛰️ Make sure you wake up early to make the most of the day! 1. Leura infinity pool - 2km return walk. The walk is quite easy despite some steep stairs and a bit of scrambling just before the pool. Always be careful here as the edge of the pool/cliff is unfenced 2. Wentworth falls - a track that follows along the edge of the cliff, offering spectacular views. Important note: we only walked to the top of the waterfall and didn’t do the full circuit walk to the bottom as we were pressed for time 3. Three sisters lookout - located at Echo Point, no hiking required! 4. Lithgow glow worm tunnel - a 400m long old rail tunnel absolutely full of glow worms! It’s approximately an hour long drive up a dirt/gravel road plus a 1km walk to the tunnel, so make sure you allow enough travel time.
