Have you visited Erie Bluffs State Park? Erie Bluffs State Park is located 12 miles west of Erie, PA. The mostly undeveloped park features over a mile of shoreline and 90 foot bluffs with incredible views of Lake Erie. There are five miles of hiking trails to explore here. I had my daughters with me, so we chose a shorter, kid-friendly hike. Our hike began on the Transition Trail, in a beautiful field of wildflowers with butterflies flitting all around. We then connected to the Lookout Trail, a short, wooded trail which led to a stunning bluff overlook. Next, we took the Fisherman’s Path down to the rocky shore of Lake Erie. We waded in the water and searched for beach glass before heading back. I forgot to end my AllTrails app at the end of the hike, so I’m not sure of the exact mileage. I would guess we did 2-2.5 miles. We really enjoyed our hike in this park. If you get the chance, I highly recommend a visit. It is a 22 minute drive from Presque Isle to this park. The BEST views of ANY campground in the state of Wisconsin! Bluff top campsites. The camera doesn't do it justice at all. When you're standing there, looking out at the landscape, it look surreal. It looks like a painting. The water below is the wisconsin river and you're seeing where it meets the Mississippi river to the left. Just across the Mississippi you can see Iowa.
