Study SMARTER, not harder or longer! ✅🏆💯👩🏽🎓 - The Hack? 📕 Active Recall + Spaced Repetition 📕 1️⃣ Revise or learn content through techniques that requires you to retrieve information when prompted, without reading/looking at your notes. Examples include: Flashcards, Blurting, Practice Questions. 2️⃣ Review this content at regular, increasing intervals. For example: Say you learn something in class that day. You would then review the content… —> when you get home from school —> again that weekend —> the weekend after —> in a fortnight —> in a month —> in 3 months. This combo is one of the most EFFICIENT ways to study, and will help you learn & remember content SO much faster, and for way longer too 🤓🤓🤓 - #studysmarter #studysmart #studyskills #studyhacks #studytips #student #studentlife #topscorer #goodgrades #topstudent #schoolmemes #schoolife #studentproblems #ATAR #VCE #HSC

Start with a small task first Begin with something easy, such as reviewing flashcards or reading one short section, to ease yourself into studying without feeling overwhelmed. 2. Use active recall instead of passive reading When tired, testing yourself with questions or blurting is more effective than rereading because it keeps your brain engaged. 3. Study in shorter sessions Use shorter focus blocks (e.g. 25–30 minutes) with breaks in between so you can study without exhausting yourself further. 4. Change your study method If reading feels too tiring, switch to watching a short explanation video, doing practice questions, or teaching the topic out loud. 5. Stay hydrated and have a light snack Water and a simple snack can help improve your energy and concentration when you feel tired. 6. Take a short rest if needed If you are too exhausted to focus, a quick nap or short break may help you study more effectively afterward. follow @melanieeong for more study tips and tricks 📚 #study #studytips #studywithme #student #reels

Never underestimate the power of studying SMART ✅🧠💯👩🏼🎓 - THE TECHNIQUES: 1️⃣ Active Recall - retrieve information when prompted without reading/looking at your notes (eg Flashcards, Blurting, Practice Questions), to force your brain to retain the information for next time, allowing you to remember and learn FASTER 🧠 . 2️⃣ Pomodoro Technique - 25min study, 5min break. Repeat × 4 then take a 15-20min break. This will revolutionise the way you work, helping you stay focused and efficient, and therefore get your work done INFINITELY faster. The regular breaks will also ensure you stay fresh & stop your brain from fatiguing so much that the work you’re doing becomes useless or of poorer quality⏰ . 3️⃣ Focus Music - the right study music can make a huge difference to your focus, concentration & motivation. Choose something without lyrics to drown out noise/distractions, and something upbeat to keep you alert, like Lofi Beats, Classical, Trance etc. 🎶 . 4️⃣ Interleaving - during your exam prep, instead of studying one subject for an entire study session, switch between multple non-related subjects. For example, instead of 3 hours of Math, try 1 hour of Math, 1 hour of English, and 1 hour of Chemistry. Stick to the allocated time for each subject. You may need to prioritise & give more time to your weaker subjects, but always try to have a mix. This improves retention of information & exam performance (without need to study any longer), makes your sessions less tedious, and will ensure you prepare for all your exams, not just your preferred subjects 📚 - #studymotivation #studysmart #studytips #studygram #examtips #examready #examrevision #studentlife #students #studywithme #studyspo #studyspiration #topstudent #goodgrades #studyhacks

These 3 things helped me pass all my exams 👇 1. Active recall Instead of just rereading my notes, I started testing myself over and over again. Flashcards, blurting, and practice questions helped me actually remember the content and spot what I didn’t know yet. 2. A realistic study routine I stopped depending on motivation and made a simple routine I could stick to. Studying a little every day was way more effective than long panic sessions the night before, and it helped me stay consistent without burning out. 3. Organized notes Having clear, easy-to-review notes saved me so much time during exam season. I spent less time trying to find information and more time actually learning it. Tools like Coconote made that part a lot easier, especially when I needed everything in one place for quick revision. These honestly made the biggest difference for me. If exams are coming up, focus on studying smarter, not just longer. #studytips #studygram #examprep #studentlife #studymotivation

Or any other cycle in Biology to be honest😭 🤯Anyway jokes apart, I am here to tell you that it is possible to learn these difficult Bio/biochem cycles and have them on your finger tips… 🧠HERE’S HOW I DID IT: 🍭I start off with the✨BLURTING METHOD✨ 1. Look at your notes, some people look at videos, or wherever you can find the information. For example it’s the Kreb’s cycle: Copy it and write it down on a piece of paper! 2. Write and re-write it until you start to remember the steps of the cycle! 3. Once you feel confident enough, take away the source of notes and just write on a piece of paper whatever you remember! It doesn’t have to be perfect or accurate, just write whatever you remembered! 4. Now compare what you wrote to the original source of notes. I am sure you will find gaps and that’s okay, it is very normal! It’s a learning process. Now you know what you missed so next time you will focus on it to fill the gaps! 5. Write and re-write the cycle again so that you can stick it into your brain! 🤯At this point it is in your short term memory🤩 This means you might forget it in a day or two! How do we make sure you translate it to your long term memory just so you don’t forget it for the test you have 3 months away?? 🍭This is where ✨SPACED REPETITION✨ comes in!!! 6. Try to write down the cycles each and everyday without looking at your notes in order to make sure you are remembering it after several days of learning it! Now it depends on your memory but I used to write it everyday because the cycles are an important part of the MCAT! 7. Make Anki cards, or just flashcards related to the cycles in order to help with memory, try to answer them and see if you get it write!! ‼️One MAJOR TECHNIQUE that also helped me with these cycles was talking out loud and teaching it to myself and friends!! I would just deeply explain the cycles out loud as if I was explaining it to a baby who knew nothing about it🥰 This was the best way to incorporate it into my long term memory🥰 🧠The rest is trial and error, try everything to see what works best for you!!! 💌Comment “MCAT” for my drive with free notes! #premed #premedmotivation #biology

While most study methods work, some waste time. Blurting: 7/10. Write what you remember on blank page. Forces retrieval without cues. Research shows this builds strongest memory. Great for memorization, not critical thinking. Pre-studying: 8/10. Find bold words, italics, titles, convert to questions, try to answer. Research shows generating questions before learning primes brain to search for answers, improving retention. Cornell Notes: 8/10. Great for organization. Most students write word for word instead of processing. Cornell forces organizing, questioning, summarizing. Pauk’s research shows structured note-taking improves comprehension and recall. Mind Mapping: 7/10. Great for visual learners, but only if created from memory after studying. Copying into diagrams doesn’t force retrieval. Power comes from reconstructing from memory. Study Groups: 5/10. Only works if testing each other. Otherwise just socializing with books open. Research shows collaborative learning works through explanation and questioning, not passive discussion. Pre-Test Effect: 9/10. Taking test before learning prepares brain for what matters. Research shows attempting questions first creates information gaps brain wants to fill. Rewriting in Colors: 2/10. Wasting time on aesthetics instead of forcing retrieval. Research shows passive rewriting produces minimal retention compared to active recall. Shadow Technique: 10/10. Read headings, close book, write what you think it means, check. Makes you alert when looking for answer and stores it in memory. Combines prediction, retrieval, feedback. Comment CORNELL for full video explaining the Cornell Note System🚀
