I mean if you’re already paying hundreds of dollars to sell at a market, AND you have to haul all your merch there, why would it matter to throw in one extra item? 💁‍♀️✨ The wood frame I just made honestly cut DOWN my setup time, and weighs only a couple of pounds 💪(around the same as the classic artist alley cubes lol) 🗝️: booth setup, artist alley, art market, small business, artist tips #kawaiiart #smallbusiness #stickershop

took me a year to figure out this set up but it was so worth it! . one major problem with my old set up was that I didn't have enough space inside the booth for more than ~6 guests. My items are fairly small, and if customers can't glance at them from outside the booth they tend to walk away to avoid the crowd. . this new T-shape set up solved almost all those issues. my booth can now host ~12 customers at the same time 🤯 with the best-seller section right upfront, people can just walk by and know exactly what type of items I offer and grab a card. this also helps customers with social anxiety as they can casually browse without feeling like they have to talk to me. the only downside to this set up are the blindspots, so you'll have to watch out for thief 🫣 . let me know if you have any questions or any effective set up ideas ✨🩷 . . #oddlyugly #handmade #clay #earrings #art #handmadejewelry #polymerclayjewelry #handmadeearrings #handmadewithlove #jewelry #shopsmall #cute #shoplocal #funky #statementearrings #statementjewelry #fashion #accessories #smallbusiness #polymerclayearrings #artist #wearableart #craftfair #vendor #reels #tips

Setting up a corner booth can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure how to make it stand out. But corner booths have a unique advantage: they give you two sides to catch people’s attention! Use this opportunity to create an inviting, open space that draws visitors in from every angle. Think about arranging your displays so they flow naturally around the corner, showcasing your products in the best possible light. Add eye-catching signs, pops of color, or a creative focal point that captures the energy of your brand. With a bit of thoughtful planning, your corner booth can become an irresistible spot that people won’t want to miss #smallbusiness #supportsmallbusiness #handmade #shopsmall #shoplocal #smallbusinessowner #entrepreneur #business #supportlocal #fashion #love #localbusiness #etsy #explorepage #marketing #art #etsyshop #businessowner #homedecor #instagood #smallbusinesssupport #design #onlineshopping #womeninbusiness #startup #instagram #explore #giftideas

Sitting at a market all weekend made me realize how much of my booth setup is just random stuff from Dollarama lol, so I thought I’d share some times for other small businesses who want to build their craft fair display on a budget!! . . . #smallbusinessowner #smallbusiness #smallbusinesstips #canadiansmallbusiness #craftfair #craftmarket #marketsetup #polymerclayartist #saskatchewansmallbusiness

✨️Before and After✨️ of my first booth ever! I didn't have time to film a lot of content during the @showyourselfmarket , but I am happy I managed to take a handful of shots to create this short reel😂🫰 This market was a great learning experience. During the booth setup, I became painfully aware of my lack of experience. Here are some of the key lessons🤓 1. Only pack the ESSENTIALS - I brought way too much heavy bulky unnecessary stuff: 6 large bottles of water (I don't even drink that much), my drawing tablet, tablet charger and an extra chair 2. Don't use OPEN storage boxes to store your products - When we walked to the venue, my moving dolly got stuck and everything fell over! I put most of my products in open storage boxes and stacked them in a bigger box. But everything got mixed up after the fall 3. Categorize your stuff (Set up - stock - important). My stuff got mixed up and I was struggling to find certain things. This made me stressed at times 4. Prepare/decorate your packaging IN ADVANCE - I wanted to make my packaging extra cuteee with stickers! But during the event I didn't have time to decorate at all... (I mean it's a good thing that the booth was quite busy, but branding/cuteness is important too lol) 5. Find the right helper - My partner was with me, but he wasn't comfortable standing behind the booth and taking over. He felt like he was "scaring away" customers😂 6. Visit other vendors BEFORE the market starts - I thought I would have way more time to visit other artists and buy their cute stuff😭 But I was too slow with my set up... and couldn't really leave my spot. All in all it was a super fun market, I gained valuable insights and met soooooo many sweet and cool people. It still feels like a dream and I can't wait to experience this again✨️ A big shout out and thanks to the amazing team behind @showyourselfmarket. They put so much love and effort into this event🩷🩷 #booth #boothdesign #beforeafter #artmarket #smallshop #stickershop #cutestickers #cuteart #artistalley

8 clever display tricks that quietly upgrade your market boo

8 clever display tricks that quietly upgrade your market booth 💫👇 After a handful of markets that I explored last year, and especially after my rebrand this year, I’ve learned that the little things make a big difference when it comes to your market setup. These are some of my favorite tricks that help my booth feel polished, cozy, and inviting — without needing a full redesign: 1. Use height to guide the eye: risers, towers, and tiered baskets help small items stand out and feel more important. 2. Create an atmosphere: Use textiles like sheer curtains (like I use!), layered fabrics, or even a lace tablecloth can make your space feel cozy and boutique-like. 3. Make your booth recognizable from across the lot: I hang a vinyl banner to my canopy in the front to make Wild Petal easy to spot from a distance. On this front sign I include my product categories. I also have a large banner that hangs in the back. 4. Balance your layout: a symmetrical setup is calming and makes your booth feel more professional and shoppable. 5. Label everything clearly: cute, visible signage for prices and QR codes makes things easier for everyone. I even include a small sign that says what polymer clay is and that my items are handmade! 6. Add personality with props or florals: this can quietly elevate your vibe. I have a cute tray with small florals where I keep my business cards. And I have other floral props on my tables and hanging inside my canopy. Your props and decor can be whatever fits your vibe and brand aesthetic. 7. Stick to a color palette: using 2–3 brand colors (some of mine are soft pink and white) makes everything feel cohesive and intentional. 8. Group items by category: separating scrunchies, earrings, or home goods helps shoppers know where to look (and makes displays easier to restock!) Which one of these do you already do or want to try next? Or is there one you swear by that I should try next? 💕 ✨ Save this for your next market day! . . . . . #handmadeaccessories #polymerclayearrings #makersmarket #craftfair #marketdisplay #vendorbooth #marketsetup #smallbiztips #popupmarket #resetwithreelschallenge3 @businesssecretsclub

I’ve always found a table right at the front of my booth is easier to approach, attracts more shoppers & makes more sales ➡️ shoppers are hesitant to walk into the booth It’s as if they’re coming INTO my space and it’s more commitment for them. And they don’t want to commit if they don’t end up wanting to buy anything. ➡️ Walk in booths look full easily. It only takes 1 or 2 groups of shoppers and the booth looks full so anyone else interested in checking out my stuff won’t bother. It’s easier for shoppers to peek around others and still see my items when I use a front table. ➡️ It’s more difficult to find somewhere for me to stand at walk in booths. I don’t like to stand in front of my table because of points 1 & 2. So I end up shoved in the back and taking payments is hard because I can’t move around. But I have had people comment that a walk in booth works better for them. Which are you? If you’ve ever walked by a market booth and seen it packed with shoppers while others nearby sit quiet, you know how much buzz matters. A busy booth draws more people in. It creates energy, signals value, and builds excitement. But here’s the thing: that doesn’t happen by accident. After years of doing pop-ups, markets, and festivals, I’ve learned how to build that kind of momentum. A lot of it comes down to a few intentional strategies I repeat every single time. Here are 3 things I do consistently to keep my booth busy and thriving at markets: 1. I let my die-hards know I’m coming. Before every event, I post on socials and send a newsletter, specifically targeted to people in that area. For example, I’ve got a Columbus segment on my email list, and I always make sure they know when I’ll be at a local event. My loyal shoppers love the chance to see what’s new in person, and they show up ready to support and shop. 2. I offer bundle deals that boost engagement and sales. Bundles are a win-win. They give returning customers a reason to stop by, and they keep people lingering in the booth. When someone sees a sticker for $4 but then spots a bundle like 3 for $10, they’re more likely to browse longer, explore more, and buy more. That extra time and energy in the booth helps create the appearance (and reality!) of a busy, high-value space, which draws even more foot traffic. 3. I play music to set the vibe. No one likes shopping in silence. It can feel awkward for both the customer and me. I always bring a speaker and put on a playlist with fun, feel-good tunes that keep the mood upbeat. A little music goes a long way in creating a welcoming space where people want to hang out. These are just a few of the intentional things I do to build a successful market experience. I’ve got tons more where that came from. Want to hear more market tips? Let me know what you’d like to know about

One of the easiest ways to draw customers into your booth is so simple: price your items clearly. When every single item is priced, customers feel way more comfortable browsing and buying. No awkward “how much is this?” moment, no scanning a giant board and trying to do math in their head. Just instant clarity. A big price board might feel easier for you, but it actually creates more friction for shoppers. The truth is — if they can’t find the price fast, most people will just walk away. Pricing each item removes that barrier and makes your booth more welcoming. This little shift costs you nothing, but it can make all the difference between someone passing by and someone becoming a paying customer 🙌 #marketboothdisplay #craftfairtips #handmadebusiness #smallbusinessmarketing #craftshowsetup

I’ve been slowly upgrading my vending booth and I’m obsessed with how it looked at my last event 🥹✨ These fun little signages made such a big difference and really elevated the whole booth (and hopefully made shopping easier too!) Next year’s goal: a full L- or U-shaped booth layout 🙌 I’ve always kept my setup super compact because setting up and tearing down solo as a petite girl is a whole workout 😭 but my product line has grown so much that my old display just isn’t cutting it anymore. So please look forward to a fun booth glow-up next year 🤭✨ #vendor #vending #craftfair #artshow #artist #art #illustration #illustrator #artistalley #artistalleytable #vendingbooth #artdisplay #bayarea #sjmade #craftfairdisplay #stickers #staionery #kpop #cute #trinkets
