The next step in the process with the Berd Trudi. After the system has taken that digital “snapshot” of the wheel, it then calculates exactly how much each spoke has to be tightened (or loosened). That information is sent to the automated driver, which then applies the prescribed number of turns (however big or small) to each nipple. One pass on the driveside, another on the non-driveside – and that’s it. The system then re-measures the wheel to make sure everything was done to spec, which also serves to help catch user error (like turning the wrong nipple, manually turning the driver handle, not keeping the spoke from rotating, etc). After this, it’s over to the de-stressing table.
