This weekend we were able to visit Lynton Hall in Pennington. Botha House was built by Frank Reynolds and this was his home. To say it is incredible is putting it mildly! A proper English manor on the South Coast with sweeping views of the ocean; a tower with a staircase so small and narrow, it's enough to make a seafarer motion sick; ornate bedrooms decorated with guilt cupboards and furnishings from India and Madagascar; a separate entrance for the children to enter the house after playing outside and extensive grounds. BRAAI ROOM STYLING | House Botha Revealing a project to my clients with the sunset complimenting the colour pallet, is not something we often see ☀️ My client contacted me to help to furnish and style their braai room after they finished renovations. They wanted to use as much of their existing pieces as possible, and needed help to add whatever they didn’t have. They also really wanted to use this space for 3 things: 1. Braai 2. Dining 3. Watching TV Here’s what we did: - Got them a stunning rustic dining table on FB Marketplace and paired it with patio dining chairs from @decofurnsa to make the space feel more outdoorsy in the summer when the doors are open. - Reupholstered their existing armchairs for a fresh look and added a side table inbetween from @coricraft_sa - Got them a new leather couch from @incandafurniture and added two custom made ottomans as seats, foot stools or side tables. - Reused their rug and coffee table - We designed some custom built-ins that offer storage and additional occasional seating on the bench under the TV. - Lastly, we gave the space some final touches with decor and soft furnishings. - What you don’t see is the built-ins and braai box under the braai that we also assisted with.
