There is a chef I follow named Bob Morano. He is one of those people who makes cooking feel doable. He takes the things that look complicated and turns them into something you feel like you can actually pull off at home. But this video was not about recipes. It was about the work behind the work. High end kitchens remind me a lot of minor league sports. The long weeks that stack up to 100 hours. The grind nobody sees. The pressure to perform. The constant pull to listen to every offer because you never know which one might be your shot. This one hit me. It brought me right back to who I needed when I was young and trying to figure out what kind of person I wanted to be. Someone who paid attention. Someone who noticed the effort. Someone who helped steady the ground under my feet. That is the leader I want to be. Someone who shows up for people. Someone who invests in them. Someone who helps them grow and gives them space to build their own careers with confidence. If I can earn the kind of reputation where people want to work with me because they know I will give them my full effort and my full heart, then I will feel like I did something that matters.
