Budae jjigae in the rice cooker!! So easy peasy and delicious! Don’t forget the cheese at the end like we did 🥲😆 What you need: 4 cups chicken Broth 1.5 cups Kimchi 10oz Tofu firm 1 cup Mushroom 1 cup Fish cake 1/2 cup Beans 1/3 can Spam 1 pack Ramen Ramen seasoning packet 1/2 Onion 2-3 cloves Garlic 1 tbsp Soy sauce 1-2 tspn Gochujang (add more or less to your liking) Cheese (add this when it’s done) *the rice cooker didn’t switch off on its own (probably bc of all the liquid). We checked about 45 minutes in and it was all done. You can keep an eye on it, it probably could have been taken out earlier! #budaejjigae #ricecookerrecipe #easypeasyjordan

🔥 Budae-jjigae, aka Korean Army Base Stew 🫶🏽 Welcome back to episode 3 of One Pot Dishes from Around The World 🗺️ This Korean dish is so comforting I could eat it all day every day 🥹 The key ingredients for this recipe are: Gochujang (Korean Hot Pepper Paste) and Gochugaru flakes (Korean Red Pepper Flakes). You can find them at any Asian supermarket, I love to get mine from @oseyouk , the most wonderful Korean supermarket in London 🤩 Ingredients: For the sauce 🌶️ 1 tbsp Gochujang 🌶️ 2 tbsp gochugaru flakes 🍬1 tbsp sugar 🧄 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped 🍶1 tbsp soy sauce 🛢️2 tbsp vegetable oil 🐔 Chicken or anchovy stock (fill to one inch from the top of your pot) Other ingredients 🌱Cabbage, roughly chopped 🍚Handful of rice cakes 🐽 4 sausages, cooked and sliced (I just bought ready-to-eat sausages) 🥘Tofu @bibigo_uk , sliced 🐷 Luncheon meat, sliced 🍄Shimeji mushrooms, bunch 🌱1/2 leek, sliced 🥬2 tbsp kimchi + one extra to munch on hehe 🍜 Ramen noodles 🧀 2 pieces of @dairylea_uki cheese Method: 1. Prep all of your ingredients by slicing them into strips/chunks and set them aside. 2. Prepare your sauce by combing all of the ingredients in a small bowl. 3. Get your pot/pan (it needs to have a lid too). Begin adding in your ingredients. I started off with my cabbage, followed by rice cakes, sausages, tofu, luncheon meat, mushrooms, leeks, kimchi, sauce, stock, ramen noodles, and cheese. Place your lid firmly back onto your pot and bring to the boil on medium high heat. Warm, spicy, cozy,and ready in 30 minutes, all in one pot 🍲 If you’ve followed my journey, you know I don’t believe in cutting foods..just making them work for you. This is exactly that 🤍 Ingredients: 🥩 6 slices brisket (add more if you want) 🌱 ½ block tofu 🥬 ½ cup cabbage 🍄 1 cup enoki mushrooms 🌭 1 cup turkey sausage, sliced 🧅 1 cup white onions 🥬 1 cup kimchi 🍖 32 fl oz beef bone broth 🍜 1 packet protein ramen Sauce: 🌶️ 2 tbsp gochujang 🌶️ 1 tbsp gochugaru 🥢 1 tbsp light soy sauce 🍶 1 tbsp mirin 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic ✨ ¼ tsp stevia How to: Add everything to a large pot, bring to a simmer over medium heat with the lid on. Simmer covered for 10 minutes → uncover and simmer 15 minutes. Add ramen, let it soften, then top with cheese 🧀, green onions 🌱, and eggs 🥚 if you want. Boom. Done.
