✨ I just wrapped up my September Paycheck Budget! As a paycheck budgeter, I don’t just budget monthly—I create a budget every single time I get paid. That way, every dollar has a job before it even hits my account. Here’s how I broke mine down this month: ✔️ Income: my regular W2 paycheck + savings from my Yellowstone sinking fund (for our anniversary trip 🏔️) ✔️ Fixed expenses: bills + automatic savings + investment contributions ✔️ Variable spending: covered with the cash envelope method (I use 6 categories!) ✔️ Cashflowing: one wedding + my upcoming trail run ✔️ Future goals: investing + sinking funds 👉 When I say I’m “cashflowing” an event, that simply means I’m paying for it with the income I’m currently earning (or my checking cushion) instead of relying on debt or pulling from long-term savings. The Budget by Paycheck Method works because it aligns with real life. It gives you clarity, reduces stress, and helps you make consistent progress with your financial goals—without feeling restricted. Okay, be honest! Have you completed your September budget yet? You still have time!! #BudgetByPaycheck #CashEnvelopeMethod #PaycheckBudgeting #SinkingFunds #DebtFreeJourney #BudgetMom #MoneyTips

The #1 question I get asked as a cash budgeter ⬇️ “What do you do when you’re purchasing items from multiple categories at the same store?” I think we can all agree that nobody wants to stand at the checkout fumbling through cash envelopes while the line forms behind you 😅 In this situation, 9 times out of 10 I will do this: 1. Pay using my debit card 2. Record those transactions on my spending tracker 3. Pull the cash from my envelopes at home 4. Deposit the cash back into my checking account to replenish the buffer we keep for situations like this What is a buffer? A buffer is a balance I keep in my checking account that just hangs out there to cover debit card and online purchases or unplanned expenses. There’s a myth floating around that cash stuffers keep a $0 balance in their checking account but I’m here to tell you that that’s not true. I can’t speak for everyone, but I know that a majority of cash stuffers keep buffer in their checking account and that amount just depends on your current situation. __ Side note: I’m thinking about making this a series so drop any questions that you have below and I will answer them in future videos! Income tax season is here and it’s extremely important that you not only spend it, but also use it to reach your financial goals. Here is what I would do: 1. Put at least 50% or more towards paying off any outstanding debt. Getting rid of your debt sooner than later will allow you to save and spend as you wish. 2. Put 30% into a savings/emergency fund or invest it in a Roth IRA. It’s important to plan for the future and your future self will thank you for having started. 3. Spend the last 20%. If you can do without spending, put it towards either of the first two. Everything in life is about finding a balance. Make sure that the decisions you make today has a positive impact on your tomorrow. Let me know in the comments how you plan on spending your tax refund!

Comment “ATM” to shop the mini atm!! Do you ever save your spare change? At the end of every week, I put my coins in this mini atm and watch the savings slowly grow! I know it’s not much, but as a cash budgeter I’ve really come to learn that every little bit counts. I think I’ll start doing weekly check ins to show you guys my progress. Once the year ends, we can start all over again! #miniatm #atm #coins #cashbudgeter #savingmoney

I get this question so often and what better time to clear the air than during an end of the month transition. ❤️🔥👏 As a cash budgeter you might be under the impression that I'm paying bills with cash, I'm not! (Tricked ya!) I use cash as a tool and a way to save money during the month. I pull money from the bank all month and stuff it in to my rent, bills, and car note categories in my cash binder. At the end of the month I pull all of this money and put it in the bank and pay my bills at the start of the month, as soon as this money goes to my bank account. Why pull the cash then? For me, it's a fun and easy way to save the money and make sure I have enough. I'm also not tempted to spend it on other things. That money is out of my account and is given a job immediately! I also love saving all of February for bills for March, because I'm a month "ahead" and don't have to worry about immediate bills/needs throughout the month. My next goal is to get a month ahead on variable spending like gas for the car, groceries, and spending money. Are you getting a tax refund? If so, this is the perfect time to set up your bills binder and put some of that money aside and get a month ahead on your bills. Future you will thank you for it! #cash #money #bills #monthahead #cashbudget #cashbinder #cashenvelopes #cashenvelopesystem #cashstuffing #cashstuffingenvelopes #cashbudgeter #youtubemoney
