I get so much criticism when I talk about buffing out my nails but I really like the way it looks 🫣 My page has always been about sharing my nail care routine and manicures with you guys, and this is part of it. I can’t stress enough to not over do it!! Or don’t do it at all. Especially if your nails are super thin. Just use a ridge filler. It’s all about preference 🙃 . . . #naturalnails #nailinspo #nailideas #diynails #diymani #nailcare #nailinspiration

My nail beds were always ugly with the hardest cuticle to do ever! But I changed that! How?👇🏻 I posted this in my stories yesterday and received hundreds of messages, so I decided to share my experience. I’ve been doing my only left hand for past 10 month. 1. Since my cuticle was always the most challenging and sensitive for me - I found ways how to work with it. One day I told myself - I’ll learn how to make my own nails pretty 2. I use only hard gel that holds the shape for 3-4 weeks without bending or moving, this helped me to make sidewalls growing straight instead of getting wide towards the free edge 3. I am super gentle and safe with my cuticle, I never overfile or over cut it. This is the technique I figured for sensitive cuticle To be super honest with y’all, even doing certain steps I didn’t expect such a difference in my nail beds. To say I was shocked is to say nothing. I was never consistent with my manicures before this 10 month challenge so the progress was never that visible. But now, seeing the progress I’m seeing, it gave me even more confidence that this technique is the best. Being consistent with your manicures can truly change the look of your nail beds. #nails#nailtech#nailclasses#nailvideos

Changed my nail shape from square to almond/oval🫶🏼 now to grow them a little! Tips for filing almond nails below⬇️ •Ensure your nail file is suitable for natural nails. A 180 grit file is generally fine, but If you/your client have particularly weak nails I’d suggest a 240 grit or a glass file. The higher the number, the softer the file grit. •Begin by removing the bulk from the sides of the square, take it slow as you don’t want to remove too much off the sidewalls and damage the nail. Every nail has a limit to how narrow it can be filed, if your nail beds are wider you may need longer nails to achieve your desired shape. •Switch sides often to make sure the peak of the nail is centre to the cuticle area. Look at your nail from multiple angles to ensure it’s straight. If you’re struggling to file the nail evenly, draw a small line in the centre using a pencil. Use this line as a guide for your filing! #nailfile #filingnails #nailtips #nailtutorial #naturalnails #squarenails #almondnails #nailprep #nailtech #nailgoals

Open Me🫣 Buffing nails after applying acrylics can help with a variety of things, including: Smoothing✨ Buffing can smooth out ridges and rough edges, and create a more even surface. Giving your nails a more flawless look. Incorporating cuticle oil into your buffing process just ensures smoothness without the extra work. Adhesion✨ Buffing can help gel polish adhere better, which can prevent chipping and peeling. However, you shouldn’t buff nails to a shine if you’re applying polish, as it can make the polish last less long because the nail surface will be too smooth to stick. Appearance✨ Buffed nails can look shinier and more polished. Natural Nail health✨ Buffing can increase blood circulation to the nail bed, which can encourage healthy nail growth. It can also remove surface stains. Be careful not to over buff as it can thin the nail out overtime🫶🏼 #blacknailtech #lasvegasnails #vegasnails #fullsetnails #acrylictoes #lasvegasstrip #nailsnailsnails #lasvegasnailtech #explore #hendersonnails #lvnails #viralpost #trending #frenchtipnails #longnails #blingnails #nailtips #atInails #londonnails #viralpost #marblenails #squarenails #nailhacks #birthdaynails

I started to do my own nails because I could never grow out my nails because of this one splitting nail that has been like this for as long as I can recall and most likely happened from trauma to the matrix. I can never grow it out without the extra support of having them done. It would snag on everything and lift from the nail bed at every snag, eventually leaving me with a tiny nail. Needless to say it was very painful. I’d go get them done at the nail salon, but realistically speaking, I couldn’t afford nor had the time to go te the nail salon is very 2-4 weeks. Alas, enter at home dip powder manicure kits and my life was instantly changed 🤩 I’ve been able to repair and restore my nail at home by keeping it protected at all times. I’ve since moved on to wearing rubber base (my fave from @nailzkatkat ) and builder gel overlays and my nails have never looked so good! 🥹🥰 #brokennail #nailrepair #nailsathome #diynails #naturalnails #nailgrowth #transformation #rubberbase #beforeandafternails #selfcare #nails #uñas How to repair a broken nail, Nails at home

1️⃣ White “vizor” along the proximal fold — it can repeat the fold partially or fully. Like in the video. This is not skin — cuticle looks like this in very VERY rare cases and usually accompanied by damaged or other kind of complexity nails. These are nails cells that are not pressed to each other anymore. They are a part of the dorsal layer — the driest — that’s why they rise. Actually, if you apply a cuticle oil on them, it will disguise them as a temporarily moisturizing. 2️⃣ Nails cells are firm, cuticle is soft. When you try to push these cells, if it’s a nail cells, they won’t move. Cuticle is much softer and can come off the nail without efforts. 3️⃣ You can find actual cuticle above the over-file. If you doubt, try to move the proximal fold back and check if there is cuticle around these white cells. It is very important to be able to identify the cuticle and distinguish it from the over-files to properly treat the nail at the stages of prep and overlay. 3 nail shapes we just do not do in our shop!!! ❌ • • • Hi! This allows us to educate our customers, show them why things are happening and provide solutions that ultimately result in them having …. ✨ healthier nails ✨ stronger nails ✨ faster, growing nails ✨ minimal nail breaks, if any ever ✨ and of course, the longest lasting manicures 😉 • • • There are many factors that fall into determining what shape is best and to be honest most clients can rock most nail shapes, but there are three shapes we just don’t do in our shop… ❌ Coffin - This shape requires wide nail beds that are very symmetrical. It’s possible that you can accomplish it with a more narrow nail bed. If they’re all symmetrical, however more narrow nail beds usually mean there’s more C curve to the nail and you will have issues trying to file into a coffin shape without weakening the structure of the nail. - Symmetry! Most peoples nail beds are not symmetrical from one hand to the other. Sometimes totally different and we have environmental factors like our writing finger that tends to be the one that has a lopsided nail. Hereditary traits factor in this, but essentially no one has symmetry with both hands. ❌ Super square - Super sharp edges, snag, and will curl in more so we just don’t do it. A slight rounding on those edges to maintain a square shape is what we do. ❌ Stiletto - The tip is just two pointy and will almost always result in a weekend nail structure, which will increase the chances of brakes. Especially because you do need a long nail to be able to properly get the angle without cutting into the edges of of the nail plate. ✨ Follow to know more about natural nail health so your nails can be the best ever and your clients too! 🥹🤘🏼
